Logan Brown has been activated from the injured reserve (upper body).

Brown hasn't played since December 29th due to an upper-body injury but has been activated from the injured reserve Friday. The 24-year-old has two assists, five SOG, and a -1 plus/minus through nine injury filled games this season.

Alex Turcotte has been recalled from Ontario (AHL).

Turcotte has five goals, seven assists, 12 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 19 games with Ontario (AHL) and has been recalled to Los Angeles for the first time this season. The 21-year-old has played in eight career NHL games prior to this season, but has yet to collect a point.

Armia (upper-body) will be out until the NHL All-Star break.

Armia has three goals, four assists, 56 SOG and a -7 plus/minus through 32 games this season but will now be out until after the All-Star break as he deals with an injury for the second time this season. He has been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to January 15th for an upper-body injury.

Armia has three goals, four assists, 56 SOG and a -7 plus/minus through 32 games this season but will now be forced to miss time for the second time this season as he deals with an upper-body injury. He has been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to January 15th.

Kuemper led the Capitals onto the ice for warmups.

Kuemper allowed three goals on 25 shots (.880 SV%) for his second straight loss as he was defeated by Philadelphia in his previous start. The 32-year-old has been having a very solid first season in Washington, with his 12-11-4 record, 2.54 GAA and .918 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who just snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Montreal in their last game.
