Rittich will start vs. Dallas on Friday.

On the front end of a back-to-back, the Kings will turn to Rittich between the pipes on Friday against the Dallas Stars. Rittich has only played twice in the previous 11 games. He has a 2.62 GAA and .887 SV% in 23 games this season (11-11-0) and was exceptional in his only meeting against the Stars this season, saving 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a 3-2 victory. The Kings enter Friday's contest as slight -109 home favorites against a Stars team coming off a disappointing 2-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.

The Kings have not played since Saturday when Kuemper saved 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, snapping a four-game losing skid (0-3-1). Kuemper returns to the crease on Monday, looking to build on an impressive first season with the Kings, where he has a 2.16 GAA and .920 SV% through 28 appearances (15-6-6). The Kings enter Wednesday's contest as sizeable -243 home favorites against a Montreal Canadiens squad that played last night and defeated the San Jose Sharks 4-3.

The Flyers have acquired Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a second-round pick and a seventh-round pick from the Flames for Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost.

The Kings failed to score on Wednesday, losing 3-0 to the Florida Panthers, and will turn to Rittich between the pipes on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Rittich struggled in his most recent outing, allowing five goals on 32 shots (.844 SV%) in a 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 32-year-old Czech netminder has a 2.65 GAA and .884 SV% in 22 appearances this season (11-10-0). The Kings enter Thursday's contest as +130 road underdogs against a Lightning squad with losses in four of their last five games (1-4-0).

Doughty (rest) will be a game-time decision in Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Doughty made his season debut on Wednesday, returning from a 47-game absence due to ankle surgery, and could miss Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning as he acclimates back to game-speed. Over the last two seasons, Doughty averaged nearly 26:00 TOI/GP. In 82 games in 2023-24, he had 15 goals, 50 points, 44 PIMs, and a +15 plus/minus.
