Perry is out with a viral gland infection; he is undergoing testing and results are pending.

Perry, who has missed the last three games, was placed on IR on Sunday and it now sounds like he is going to miss a few more games with a viral infection. We will wait for official word from the Ducks after the testing results come in.

Corey Perry
Kuemper will be back between the pipes for the Wild.

Kuemper allowed four goals on 31 shots in the Wild’s 4-1 loss in Montreal on Saturday. After a blazing start to the year, Kuemper has dropped three of his last five while posting a 3.17 GAA and .867 SV%. With veteran Niklas Backtsrom behind him and Josh Harding’s return looming around the corner, Kuemper needs to find his game before he starts yielding starts to the veterans.

The Ducks have placed Corey Perry (flu) on injured reserve.

Perry will miss his third consecutive game when the Ducks take on Vancouver at Honda Center. He can be eligible to return for Wednesday's home game against the Kings. Perry has 11 goals to lead the Ducks, which also tie him with Rick Nash of the New York Rangers for the NHL lead. They placed Perry on IR to make room to call-up defenseman Mat Clark from Norfolk (AHL) to help fill holes on the blue line.

Corey Perry
Perry (flu) is doubtful for the Ducks’ game on Sunday.

Perry has missed the last two games and was not at Ducks’ practice on Saturday. He is struggling with the flu and it does not seem likely that he will play tomorrow vs. Vancouver. After Sunday, the Ducks are off until Wednesday, so there is a good chance he will be back for that clash with the Kings.

Corey Perry
Forsberg gets his second career start on Saturday.

Forsberg allowed three goals on 29 shots in a loss to the Devils in his first NHL start. He will make his second tonight against a high-powered Lightning offence that ranks second in the NHL in scoring with 3.62 goals per game. With 12 games on the NHL schedule tonight, you can find a better spot-start.

Anton Forsberg
Kuemper will start between the pipes for the Wild.

Kuemper allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Wild’s 4-1 loss to the Penguins on Tuesday. He was given Thursday night off so he is expected to take on the Canadiens tonight in Montreal. Kuemper has not slowed down much and comes into tonight with a 6-3-0 record, 1.77 GAA and .922 SV%.

Kuemper gets the start for the Wild.

Kuemper stopped 19 of 20 shots in a win over the Stars on Saturday. Kuemper has been great in his first eight starts of the season, posting a 6-2-0 record with a 1.62 GAA, .930 SV% and three shutouts. Despite being 5-0-0 at home so far, he is a risky start vs. a highly talented Penguins team.
