Brodin (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.

There is still no word on exactly what is ailing Brodin after he crashed into the boards heavily on Monday. However, he won't be in the lineup for the second straight game and should be considered day-to-day until there is more information released on the severity of his injury.

Jonas Brodin
Wild head coach Mike Yeo said Brodin is "sore in a couple different spots" and is listed as day-to-day.

Brodin crashed violently into the end-boards after being checked from behind by Chris Kreider on Monday. He returned for the third period of that game, but was too banged to play last night. Brodin reportedly had his left hand bandaged up after Monday's game, but it sounds like he is battling a a couple of minor injuries.

Fleury leads the Penguins onto the ice for warmups.

Fleury stopped all 25 shots he faced in the Penguins 3-0 win over the Predators on Saturday. Fleury has alternated wins and losses in each of his last five starts and has posted a 2.34 GAA and .920 SV% on the season. It has been a great start to the year and he should make for a good start tonight against a Devils team he was 2-2-0 with a 1.76 GAA and .940 SV% against last year.

Fleury allowed four goals on 32 shots in a loss to the Flyers on Wednesday. After sitting on Thursday in Detroit, Fleury will be back between the pipes tonight in Nashville. The Predators have yet to lose in regulation this season, but Fleury has had a decent start to the year and should not be left on your bench.

Zuccarello (shoulder) is on the ice for the Rangers morning skate.

Zuccarello missed Sunday's game vs. Toronto with a shoulder injury that he suffered on Saturday. Zucc's presence this morning is a good sign that the injury is not serious and he could be back in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Islanders. Zuccarello has yet to record a point this season and is coming off of a minus-4 performance vs. the Blue Jackets.

Mats Zuccarello
Nyquist is skating on the Red Wings top-line with Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen.

Nyquist finished Saturday's game on the top-line and it looks like he will start Wednesday's game with Hank and 'The Mule'. Nyquist has picked up right where he left off last season, scoring a goal in each of his first two games.

The Wild have signed Jonas Brodin to a six-year, $25 million deal.

Brodin, 21, is in his third NHL season and has one assist through two games after scoring eight goals with 11 assists (19 points) in 79 games a season ago. This is a very good deal for both sides as they have locked up a key member of their blueline for the next six years.

Fleury will start the Penguins season opener.

In the last four seasons Fleury has won 36, 42, 23 (lockout year) and 39 games while posting a GAA below 2.40 with a SV% above .912 with 12 shutouts.Playing for the high-powered Penguins should provide him with a ton of goal support and lead to close to 40 wins. He draws a tough matchup to start the season against the Ducks.
