Zuccarello has struggled, recording no points in seven games.
He is out indefinitely and a timetable will be announced once it's determined. As of now, the Wild says this is relatively good news because there was originally a concern he had a broken jaw. More after practice, but as of now, Matt Dumba has taken Brodin's spot on the No. 2 power-play unit
Wild head coach Mike Yeo said Brodin was taken to a hospital for X-rays, but the coach had no update on his condition. This is a tough break for the 20-year-old, who was off to a great start in his sophomore year. He has three goals and three assists (six points) in the Wild's first 10 games while averaging 25:46 TOI (before last night's 1:01).
Pitlick was the 31st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He has 11 goals and 25 assists (36 points) in 113 games with OKC - including one goal and two assists in seven games this season. Both Ryan Smyth and Jordan Eberle are questionable for tomorrow's game, if one of them can't go, Pitlick would slide into the lineup.
Fleury moved to 7-0 with a win over the Canucks on Saturday. He stopped 36 of 39 shots in the shootout win. He holds a 1.84 GAA and .930 SV% in seven starts, and is currently playing at a very high level. He has a a fairly tough matchup vs. the up-start Avalanche.
Fleury allowed one goal on 25 shots in a win over the Flyers on Thursday. He is perfect at 6-0 while sporting a 1.67 GAA and .932 SV% in six starts. He will go head-to-head vs. fellow Canadian, Roberto Luongo in a matinee today.
Fleury is off to a perfect 5-0 start to the season after allowing just two goals on 22 shots vs. Edmonton on Tuesday. He has a great chance of moving to 6-0 against a struggling Flyers offence tonight.
Fleury allowed four goals on 18 shots but still walked away with the win on Saturday. He has yet to lose a start and will look to improve his 1.75 GAA and .930 SV% against a struggling Oilers team.
Fleury is 3-0-0 and has allowed only three goals on 82 shots. It is the best start of his 10-year career. New Jersey, Buffalo and Carolina rarely tested Fleury consistently, though there were moments when he was required to, and made, sensational saves. Tampa Bay is a significantly stronger offensive outfit than any of the Penguins’ opening four opponents, so the first blip on Fleury's stat line could come tonight.
Foligno will make his season debut on the Sabres second line with Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford. The trio played together for much of last season; when Foligno had five goals and 13 assists in 47 games.
Fleury was a few minutes away from a second straight shutout, until a Thomas Vanek batted the puck out of the air and passed the Pens netminder. In his first two games Fleury has allowed just one goal on 48 shots (.979 SV%). He has a solid matchup vs. the Hurricanes.
Foligno had five goals and 13 assists in 47 games last season. He has a chance to make his season debut tomorrow vs. Tampa Bay.
The 2013-14 regular season could not have started any better for Fleury. He stopped all 27 shots he faced, recording shutout number one on the season. He will face a Sabres team tonight that has only scored one goal in their first two games.
Fleury had a good regular season going 23-8-0 with a 2.39 GAA and .916. However it was the playoffs in which he struggled yet again (3.51/.883). Fleury is a strong fantasy option because of the team he plays behind. The Penguins are Stanley Cup favourites once again so as long as Fleury does not collapse he will be a solid number-1.
Foligno sustained an upper-body strain in a preseason game on Sept. 22 against Toronto and has not participated in a full practice since. He's worked with the team's power play units the last few days before the rest of the team has taken the ice but has done so while sporting a red non-contact jersey. He may miss the games over the weekend against Ottawa on Friday and in Pittsburgh on Saturday as well.
Drew Stafford will take Foligno's spot on the Sabres top-line.
Johansson, 22, had six goals and 16 assists in 34 games last season. He had two points in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games. His best stretch of the season came in the second half, when he had 20 points in his last 22 games of the regular season. Much of that time was spent on Washington's top line alongside Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.
The 23-year-old defenseman had five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in 39 games for the WIld this season.
After posting a shutout in Game1 there is no doubt that Fleury will get the nod in Game 2. He should be able to record wins with regulairity throughout the playoffs with the amount of talent in front of him.
