Brink (upper-body) is a possibility to return vs. New York on Saturday.

Minnesota acquired Brink in a trade from Philadelphia last week, but he is battling an upper-body ailment and missed Thursday's game against his former team. The 24-year-old has played three games with Minnesota so far and scored a goal for his first point with the team in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Utah Mammoth.

Gustavsson seemed to be suffering some mid-season fatigue, posting a pedestrian 2.96 GAA and .893 SV% in 13 games (8-1-3) leading into the Olympic break. That said, the 27-year-old Swedish goalie has returned to action well rested and motivated, posting a dazzling 1.21 GAA and .960 SV% in five games (4-1-0) since NHL action has resumed.

After a tremendous start to his 2025-26 season, Wallstedt has faltered slightly, battling consistency as a rookie goaltender. That said, the 23-year-old Wallstedt was tremendous in his most recent outing, saving 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout loss to the league-leading Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota enters Thursday's contest as sizable -226 home favourites against a Philadelphia Flyers team that played last night, winning 4-1 over the Washington Capitals.

Sturm will be a healthy scratch vs. Utah on Tuesday.

Marcus Johansson (upper body) will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Utah Mammoth, resulting in Sturm being a healthy scratch. The 30-year-old Sturm scored a goal in Minnesota's previous game, giving him 10 points (4G / 6A) in 41 outings this season.

Johansson has been sidelined with an upper-body injury for the past week, but he should return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Utah Mammoth. The 35-year-old Swedish forward has 39 points (13G / 26A) in 57 games this season, but has been held off the scoresheet in 13 of his last 19 games. Nico Sturm will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Johansson's return.

Gustavsson was terrific in his most recent outing, saving 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Utah Mammoth. The 27-year-old Swedish goalie looks rejuvenated after returning from the Olympic break, posting an impressive 1.52 GAA and .952 SV% in four games (3-1-0). Minnesota enters the action on Tuesday as -149 home favourites against a Utah team that defeated them 5-2 less than two weeks ago.

The Wild will hand Gustavsson his 39th start of the campaign when they travel to Vegas on Friday night. Gustavsson has been in fine form since returning from representing Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics, posting a .957 SV% and a 1.35 GAA across his last three starts. He was particularly impressive in his most recent start on Tuesday against the Lightning, when he allowed just a single goal on 25 shots enroute to a 5-1 victory. Gustavsson and the Wild enter action on Friday at -110 on the money line.

Minnesota has acquired Nick Foligno from Chicago for future considerations.

Minnesota continues to add forward depth ahead of Friday's Trade Deadline, most recently by acquiring Nick Foligno from the Chicago Blackhawks. The 38-year-old Foligno averaged 12:48 time-on-ice and scored 11 points (3G / 8A) in 37 games with Chicago this season.

Minnesota has acquired some depth on their blueline as they hope for a deep run in the upcoming postseason. The 38-year-old veteran Petry averaged 14:51 time-on-ice, recording eight points (0G / 8A), 57 blocks, and 59 hits in 58 games with Florida this season.

Johansson only played 10:45 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning and is battling an upper-body injury that will keep him out of the lineup. The 35-year-old Swedish forward has 39 points (13G / 26A) in 57 games this season, but has been held off the scoresheet in 13 of his last 19 games.
