Minnesota has signed Bradley Marek to a one-year, entry-level contract.
After two AHL seasons, Bradley Marek has earned himself an NHL contract by signing a one-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota (AHL) on Wednesday. The 24-year-old left-winger appeared in 50 games with Iowa (AHL) in 2024-25, putting up eight goals, 13 points and 67 PIMs. He is expected to report to Iowa for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Minnesota has signed Nicolas Aube-Kubel to a one-year, two-way. contract.
After a down season split between Buffalo and New York in 2024-25, Nicolas Aube-Kubel has earned himself a one-year, two-way contract with Minnesota. The 29-year-old right-winger is entering his eighth NHL season with his seventh organization after putting up just a goal and two points in 22 games in 2024-25. He is expected to compete for one of the final roster spots for the Wild when the 2025-26 season starts.
Minnesota has signed Tyler Pitlick to a two-year, two-way contract.
Minnesota added a veteran presence on Wednesday after signing 33-year-old forward Tyler Pitlick to a two-year, two-way contract. Pitlick last appeared in 34 games in the NHL with New York in 2023-24, but spent the entirety of the 2024-25 with Providence (AHL), where he had 21 goals, 46 points and 34 PIMs across 59 games played.
Minnesota has signed Matt Kiersted to a one-year, two-way contract.
Minnesota added to its defensive depth on Day 2 of Free Agency by signing reigning Stanley Cup Champion Matt Kiersted to a one-year, two-way contract. The 27-year-old defenseman managed to appear in two games with Florida in 2024-25, but spent the majority of the season with Charlotte (AHL), where he had a goal and 29 points in 64 games played.

Minnesota added to its goaltending depth on Wednesday after signing Cal Petersen to a one-year, $775,000 contract. Despite having 106 NHL games to his name, the 28-year-old struggled in the AHL in 2024-25 with Lehigh Valley (AHL), posting a 13-15-3 record, 3.14 GAA and .885 SV%.
Minnesota has signed Benjamin Gleason to a one-year, $800,000 contract.
Despite last appearing in the NHL in 2018-19, Benjamin Gleason has earned himself a one-year $800,000 contract with Minnesota on Tuesday. The 27-year-old appeared in 36 games between Bakersfield (AHL) and Lehigh Valley (AHL) in 2024-25, picking up three goals and 18 points. He is expected to start 2025-26 with Iowa (AHL) but should provide Minnesota with a call up option throughout the season.
Minnesota has signed Nico Sturm to a two-year, $4 million contract ($2 million AAV).
Sturm joined the Florida Panthers before the trade deadline last season and played eight games in the postseason en route to a Stanley Cup. The 29-year-old Sturm has 92 points (46G / 46A) in 331 career games and will return to the Minnesota Wild after playing four seasons with them to begin his career.
The Wild have acquired Vladimir Tarasenko from the Red Wings for future considerations.
The Red Wings signed Tarasenko last season to play alongside Patrick Kane, but the experiment didn't last long, with Tarasenko spending portions of the season on the third and fourth lines. The former 40-goal scorer was limited to only 33 points (11G / 22A) in 80 games with the Red Wings. The 33-year-old will hope to re-establish his scoring prowess by playing alongside countryman Kirill Kaprizov.
Brodin had upper-body surgery and is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 season.
Bill Guerin announced Saturday that Jonas Brodin is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 season after undergoing successful upper-body surgery. The 31-year-old defender missed 32 games in 2024-25 due to injury but still managed to put up an impressive four goals, 20 points, and +10 plus/minus in his 50 games played. His return date remains up in the air until we get closer to the 2025-26 regular season.
The Wild have acquired Chase Priskie and a 2025 4th Round Pick from the Capitals for Declan Chisholm and a 2025 6th Round Pick.
Minnesota has acquired Cameron Butler from Columbus for Brendan Gaunce.
Minnesota made a minor trade on Thursday after acquiring winger Cameron Butler from Columbus for forward Brendan Gaunce. Butler is a 23-year-old undrafted right-winger who made his only NHL appearance in 2023-24 with the Blue Jackets. He struggled to produce offensively in 2024-25, only scoring two goals and three points in 37 games played.
Minnesota has signed Marcus Johansson to a one-year, $800,000 contract extension.
Amongst a flurry of different trade rumours, Minnesota has strengthened up their offensive depth on Monday by signing 34-year-old Marcus Johansson to a one-year, $800,000 contract extension. The Swedish winger is entering his 16th NHL season after putting up 11 goals and 34 points in 72 games with the Wild in 2024-25.

Sturm is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 5 in Carolina on Wednesday.
Sturm played in his first game in 19 days when he rejoined Florida's lineup for their Game 4 victory, but is expected to be the odd man out for Game 5 in Carolina as AJ Greer returns from an undisclosed injury. Sturm has only appeared in eight total playoff games this year and has yet to pick up a point while only having three SOG.

Sturm has not played since Game 2 vs. the Maple Leafs, but he will replace A.J. Greer (day-to-day) in the lineup for Game 4 vs. Carolina. Sturm has just one assist in 22 combined regular season and playoff games since joining the Panthers.

Yurov is Minnesota's 2022 1st round pick (24th overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Friday. The 21-year-old Russian forward spent 2024-25 with Metallurg Magnitogorsk (KHL) and had 13 goals and 25 points in 46 games played.
