Anderson was not on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Kings due to a non-COVID-19 related illness. Expect Adam Brooks to replace him in the lineup if he can't play.

Newhook earned his way back to the NHL by torching the AHL with 11 points (4G / 7A) in 10 games. Sampo Ranta was sent to the AHL on Monday, so he will take his spot on the roster.

Caufield was expected to have a breakout season after scoring four goals with one assist in 10 games last year. He went on to pick up 12 points (4G / 8A) in 20 playoff games but has had a disastrous start to 2021-22. Caufield has just one assist and 22 shots in 10 games, so he'll head to the AHL to find some confidence.

Veleno has scored three goals in five games with Grand Rapids this season. The 21-year-old centre could make his season debut on Saturday because Tyler Bertuzzi is ineligible to travel to Toronto. Celeno has one goal in five career NHL games.

Evans will not play in Seattle but it's unclear if it's injury-related or a coach's decision. Cedric Paquette will replace him in the Canadiens' bottom-6.

Evans missed Tuesday's game with an undisclosed injury that he suffered vs. the Rangers on Saturday. Evans will re-enter the lineup on the fourth line with Artturi Lehkonen and Joel Armia on his wings. Evans has no points, five shots and a minus-1 rating in three games this season.
