Erik Haula has signed a three-year contract extension ($3.15 Million AAV) with the Devils.

Haula had 14 goals, 27 assists, 164 SOG, 47 PIMs and a +13 plus/minus through 80 games in his first season in New Jersey in 2022-23 and has signed a three-year contract extension ($3.15 Million AAV) with the Devils on Friday. The 32-year-old left-winger is entering his 11th NHL season having suited up for seven different teams along that span and collecting 281 points (126G/155A) through 614 career games.

The Stars signed Matt Murray to a one-year, two-way contract.

Murray played most of the 2023 season in the AHL, where he went 18-10-5 with a 2.37 GAA, .911 SV% and three shutouts with the Texas Stars. However, he also got his first taste of the NHL, going 1-2-0 with a 3.39 GAA and .844 SV% in Dallas. With Jake Oettinger and Scott Wedgewood still under contract for the 2024 season, Murray will most likely start the season in the AHL.

Michael Bunting will be a scratch for the Maple Leafs in Game 5 Thursday.

Bunting is finished serving his three-game suspension for a high hit on Erik Cernak but is expected to remain out of the Maple Leafs' lineup upon his return. It is a bit of a surprising move after the 27-year-old had 23 goals and 49 points through 82 regular season games.

Andreas Englund will draw back into the Blackhawks' lineup Thursday vs. Vancouver.

Englund has been a healthy scratch for the Blackhawks' previous two games but will draw back into the lineup Thursday vs. Vancouver. The 27-year-old has three assists, 28 SOG, 30 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 43 games played between Colorado and Chicago this season.

Saros will start Thursday vs. the Hurricanes.

Saros allowed five goals on 26 shots (.808 SV%) for his second loss in three games as he was handed the defeat by the Dallas Stars in his last start. The 27-year-old has been very solid yet again this season for his second-straight 30-win campaign, as he is 30-22-7, with a 2.76 GAA and .916 SV%. He is taking on the Carolina Hurricanes, who have won three-straight contests and are third in the NHL in shots per game (35.0).

Ryan O'Reilly (thumb) is expected to rejoin the Maple Leafs' lineup Thursday vs. Boston.

O'Reilly has missed the Maple Leafs' previous 14 games due to a thumb injury and is expected to return to Toronto's lineup Thursday vs. Boston. The 32-year-old has 15 goals, nine assists, 98 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -23 plus/minus through 48 games this season with Toronto and St. Louis.

O'Reilly (finger) took part in Tuesday's morning skate but will not play vs. Columbus.

O'Reilly has been out since March 4th due to a finger injury and took part in the Maple Leafs' morning skate Tuesday but is still not ready to return to the lineup. The 32-year-old has 15 goals, nine assists, 98 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -23 plus/minus through 48 games between Toronto and St. Louis this season.
