The Florida Panthers recalled goaltender Jacob Markstrom from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Starting goaltender Tim Thomas took part in the team's practice Thursday, but left with an unspecified injury after 15 minutes. Florida will have an update on Thomas' status following the team's morning skate on Friday. Markstrom appeared in 11 games with Florida earlier this season, posting a 1-5-3 record, 3.36 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage. He was loaned to the Rampage on November 10. After joining San Antonio, the 23-year-old appeared in 10 games, going 4-5-1.

Hamilton will be out two-to-four weeks with a lower-body injury.

The Bruins defenseman continue to drop like flies as now they are down to just five healthy defensemen. Hamilton play just 5:58 before leaving Sunday's game vs. the Maple Leafs. The Bruins are unsure if Johnny Boychuk will be available tonight. Unless someone is recalled soon, the Bruins will play with five D-men if Boychuk can't go.

Bernier starts tomorrow vs. his former team.

After starting 54 games between 2007-13 with the Kings, Bernier will face his former team on Wednesday. He held and 29-20-6 record during his time in Los Angeles, but it is his 9-8-2 record with the Maple Leafs that he cares about now. It is a tough matchup, but the extra fire from facing his old team makes him a strong play.

Hamilton (lower-body) is being sent back to Boston to be re-evaluated after being injured in Sunday's win over the Maple Leafs.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien thinks that Hamilton will miss at least a week, "we'll see what the outcome is there but, right now, it doesn't seem like he's going to be playing with us probably this coming week. It doesn't look good as far as - the diagnosis on him was he's probably done for at least a week." The Bruins are hopeful that Johnny Boychuk will be available tomorrow at Calgary, if he is not then they will need to make a roster move.

Hamilton has left Sunday's game with an apparent lower-body injury and will not return.

Hamilton appeared to be injured following a collision with Maple Leafs defenseman Carl Gunnarson. The injuries continue to pile up for the Bruins who are already without defensemen Adam McQuaid and Johnny Boychuk and lost forwards Loui Eriksson and Chris Kelly last night. It has been a rough weekend for the Bruins in terms of health.

Bernier leads the Leafs onto the ice for warmups.

Bernier allowed two goals on 50 shots in a win over the Stars on Thursday. He continues to see a ton of rubber on a nightly basis, he has seen an average of 45.6 shots in his last three starts. He will go up against a Bruins team who lost three starters in last night's 3-2 win over Pittsburgh.

Bernier leads the Maple Leafs onto the ice for warmups.

Bernier was tagged for five goals on 47 shots in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Penguins on Wednesday. It was a rough night for Bernier who was unable to preserve a 4-1 second period lead after the Maple Leafs got into penalty trouble. It will be his first start of the season vs. the Canadiens.

Bernier will likely start Saturday with James Reimer going tonight.

Bernier starts for the Maple Leafs.

Bernier allowed two goals on 37 shots in a 5-2 win over the Islanders on Tuesday. He gets the call tonight against the 10-9-2 Predators. Bernier has seen a ton of rubber this season, but he has been equal to the task posting a .939 SV% in 14 appearances. His only shutout of the season came against these Predators so he should make for another strong start tonight.

Jonathan Bernier starts tonight against the Islanders.

Bernier allowed two goals on 26 shots in Friday's loss to the Sabres. It was Bernier second straight loss despite only allowing three goals combined in the two contests. With a depleted lineup the Leafs have only scored nine goals in their last six games, but draw a fairly solid matchup tonight against the Isles.

It appears Tomas Tatar will dress tonight vs. Washington.

Tatar appeared to be a healthy scratch tonight, but the Wings sent Luke Glendening to the AHL which opens up a spot in the lineup. Tatar will slide in on the second or third line, depending on where Mike Babcock wants to use him and Daniel Cleary. Tatar has two goals and an assist in 11 games.

Jonathan Bernier not on the ice for today's optional skate. Would indicate that he starts tonight in Buffalo.

Bernier turned aside 33 of 34 shots in a shootout loss to the Wild on Wednesday. Bernier has only allowed four goals in his last three starts while posting a .964 SV%. He would get the start tonight vs. a struggling Buffalo squad. If he starts, get Bernier in your lineup.

The long-projected future goalie of the Panthers, Jacob Markstrom, 23, continues to be maddeningly inconsistent, and will most likely head back to the minors when Thomas returns to the lineup against Ottawa on Saturday afternoon.

Markstrom is 1-5-3 with a 3.36 GAA and .877 SV% in eight starts this season. In 37 careers starts (42 appearances) Markstrom is 11-24-5 with a 3.16 GAA and .899 SV%.
