Allen gets the nod Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Allen allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Blues’ win over the Kings on Monday. It was his third straight win and seventh of the season—he finished October with a 2.46 GAA and .921 SV% in 10 starts, pretty much right where he is expected to be. He should make for a great option tonight against a Flyers team coming in on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Markstrom will start Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Stars on Monday. It was a tough luck loss for Markstrom who has now allowed just seven goals on the last 90 shots that he has faced (.922 SV%). Tonight he faces a Devils team that is third in the NHL in scoring so far (3.80 GF/PG).

Markstrom allowed one goal on 21 shots in the Canucks’ win in Detroit last Sunday. Anders Nilsson started both games last week, but they’ll come back to Markstrom tonight vs. the visiting Stars. Markstrom has won his last two starts while stopping 40 of 43 shots (.930 SV%). Dallas comes into the game averaging 2.91 goals for per game (20th in the NHL).

Allen allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Blues win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Allen has found his groove, winning three of four starts while posting a 1.96 GAA and .926 SV%. Tonight he will face the red-hot Kings, who come in at 9-1-1, but Allen has yet to lose on home-ice (4-0-0) while posting a 1.75 GAA and .944 SV%.

Allen allowed three goals on 22 shots the Blues’ overtime loss in Vegas on Saturday. After starting the season with a three-game winning streak, Allen has dropped three of his last four starts while posting a 2.96 GAA and. 892 SV%. Tonight he faces a Flames team that is 27th in goals for (2.44 GF/PG).

Markstrom allowed two goals on 18 shots after replacing Anders Nilsson in the Canucks’ loss in Boston last night. With Nilsson struggling vs. the Bruins, Markstrom is expected to face the Sabres tonight. Markstrom has a 2.88 GAA and .901 SV% in five appearances so far this season. Despite a tough start, the Sabres represent a solid matchup.

Tonight he will make his third start of the season and it comes against a 5-2-0 Blues team thats coming off of a big win vs. the Blackhawks last night.
