Lazar has had a very difficult year that started with mono at the beginning of the season and never seemed to get it back on track. Lazar had three goals and one assist in 13 games with Binghamton (AHL) and one one assist in 33 games with the Senators. Following a few additions up front, Lazar would have been sitting or sent back down, so he gets a much-needed change of scenery as the Salmon Arm, British Columbia native heads to Alberta.

Allen allowed three goals on 41 shots in the Blues’ loss in Chicago on Sunday. Allen is on a three-game losing streak while posting a 2.71 GAA and .922 SV%. He will face the Oilers for the first time since October—he stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 3-1 loss in Edmonton in their first meeting.

Markstrom was reportedly injured during the Canucks’ skills competition, which adds insult to injury. With Ryan Miller’s future with the Canucks uncertain, Vancouver’s goaltending situation is cloudy at the moment. Richard Bachman has been called up and should serve as Miller’s backup on Tuesday, unless Miller is dealt.

Bernier allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Bruins on Wednesday. With John Gibson out, Bernier will start again this afternoon in Los Angeles. Bernier has gone 5-5-1 with a 3.40 GAA and .888 SV% on the road this season and remains a risky start this afternoon.

With John Gibson day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Bernier will start for a second straight game, despite being yanked after a terrible outing on Monday. Bernier was pulled after allowing three gaols on six shots in a loss in Arizona and now carries a 2.93 GAA and .901 SV% in 22 appearances this season.

Allen allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Blues’ loss in Buffalo Saturday. The loss snapped his four-game winning streak, so he’ll look to start another one in his 43rd start of the season. The 26-year-old has gone 14-6-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .905 SV% in 23 starts on home-ice this season.

Allen allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Blues’ win over the Canucks on Thursday. Allen has won four consecutive games while posting a 1.50 GAA, .947 SV% and one shutout. In his first start vs.the Sabres this season, he stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 win back in mid-November.

Pesce missed the Hurricanes’ morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game. If Pesce can’t play, expect Matt Tennyson to skate with Jaccob Slavin and for Klas Dahlbeck to draw into the lineup.

Lazar has been a healthy scratch for four consecutive games, but will get back into the lineup tonight in New Jersey. Lazar will replace Chris Neil and comes in with just one assist in 29 games.

Carter Hutton shutout the Red Wings last night, but Allen will start Game No.2 of the back-to-back tonight vs. the Canucks. Allen has won three in a row and four of his last five while posting an impressive 1.40 GAA, .953 SV% and one shutout.

Ryan Miller started the last two games, including last night, so Markstrom is expected to start vs. Miller’s former team tonight. In his first start against the Sabres, Markstrom turned away 26 of 27 shots in a 2-1 win back in October.

Palat missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but he is expected to play tonight in Minnesota. Palat will skate on a line with Vladislav Namestnikov and Nikita Kucherov and comes into play with 25 points (10G / 15A) in 47 games this season.
