Hughes missed the Devils morning skate but was on the ice for warmups before being a late-scratch. The Devils announced that his absence from the lineup is precautionary, so consider him day-to-day. Dennis Cholowski will draw back into the Devils lineup to replace Hughes.

Matias Maccelli will be a healthy scratch on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, allowing Bjugstad to draw back into the lineup. Bjugstad has not played since March 18th and has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 55 games this season.

Glass showed no signs of an injury in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, recording 16:24 time-on-ice, but he will not play on Wednesday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 25-year-old Glass is averaging 13:41 time-on-ice and has 21 points (6G / 15A) in 59 games this season.

Edwards was a fourth-round pick, 120th overall, of the New Jersey Devils in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old defenseman has spent the previous four seasons playing collegiate hockey, including scoring 21 points (5G / 16A) in 36 games with the University of Michigan (Big-10) this season.


With Jonas Brodin (lower body) not able to suit up on Monday against the Dallas Stars, Chisholm will re-enter the lineup. The 25-year-old Chisholm is averaging 17:22 time-on-ice and has 12 points (2G / 10A) in 60 games this season.
