Rittich will start Tuesday vs. the Devils.

Rittich allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Flames win over the Golden Knights on Sunday. The win snapped a brief two game losing skid for Rittich, who is 3-2-0 with a 2.62 GAA and .908 SV% in his last five starts. Rittich’s play has dropped off a bit recently, but he is a must-start on home-ice vs. a Devils team that lost six in a row (0-5-1).

Rittich starts Wednesday in Vegas.

Rittich surrendered six goals on 32 shots in the Flames loss to the Maple Leafs on Monday. It was a rough outing for Rittich, who has gone 2-2-1 with an ugly 3.59 GAA and .857 SV% in his last six starts. Tonight he faces a Golden Knights team that has not lost (4-0-0) while averaging 4.00 goals per game since adding Mark Stone at the deadline.

Varlamov will start Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Varlamov allowed four goals on 40 shots in Colorado’s loss in San Jose last Friday. Philipp Grubauer started in Anaheim on Sunday but they’ll come back to Varlamov on Tuesday. Varlamov has been average as of late but is a great option vs. the Red Wings—he stopped all 24 shots that he faced in a 2-0 shutout win in his first start against Detroit.
