The Rangers are sending Anthony Duclair back to the QMJHL.

Duclair had been on a loan to Team Canada for the World Juniors. He posted four goals and four assists in seven games en route to a gold medal. Despite a strong tournament, the Rangers are playing great right now, so there is no reason to rush Duclair’s development. He heads back to the Quebec, where he had 50 goals and 49 assists (99 points) in 59 games.

Schneider will start vs. Detroit on Wednesday.

Schneider stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Devils 3-1 win over the Penguins on Monday. Of course he plays poorly in good match ups, but well in bad match ups. Tonight, he will make his 12th start in December, he has gone 3-7-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .927 SV% in the first 11.

Schneider will be between the pipes vs. the Penguins.

Schneider gave up two goals on 27 shots in the Devils loss to the Rangers on Saturday. The coaching change sure didn’t help the Devils’ inability to score in their first game behind the bench.
