Schneider vs. Luongo on Friday.

Schneider allowed seven goals on 33 shots in a 7-4 loss to the Red Wings last Friday. It was a brutal outing for Schneider, who has allowed 11 goals in his last two starts. He will look for retribution on Friday when he goes head-to-head with former crease-mate Roberto Luongo. In their first two meetings, Bobby Lu has got the better of Schneids, one in a shootout and one in OT.

Varlamov will start Friday.

Varlamov stopped 37 of 39 shots in a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks on Wednesday. The win was his 100th of his career and moved him into second in the NHL in wins with 33. Friday will see him take on the Ducks in Denver. Varly has won five of his last six starts and stopped 35 shots in a 6-1 win in the season opener vs. Anaheim.

Varlamov will start vs. the Blackhawks.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 35 shots in a win over the Jets on Monday. Varly has been great winning four of his last five starts while posting a 2.20 GA and .937 SV%. The 25-year-old is 3-0-0 with a 1.47 GAA and .963 SV% in his previous three starts against the Blackhawks this season.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 25 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Blues on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Russian netminder. Tonight, he will get the nod against the Jets at the Pepsi Center. Coming into play Varly has gone 19-7-3 with a 2.31 GAA and .927 SV% at home this season.

Varlamov gets the start for the Avalanche.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 38 shots in a win over the Blackhawks on Tuesday. He was rested on Tuesday in the Avs' 3-2 OT win over the Red Wings, but will be back in goal today when the Avs host the Blues. Varly has gone 0-2-0 with a 4.19 GAA and .875 SV% against St. Louis this season.

Schneider gets the nod on Friday vs. Detroit.

Schneider surrendered four goals on 22 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Sharks on Sunday. Martin Brodeur was not traded on Wednesday, so the Devils will finish up the season with the same tandem they started it with. Schneider gets the call tonight in Detroit, despite Brodeur chalking up a victory over the Red Wings on Tuesday.

Varlamov starts for the Avalanche.

Varlamov stopped 40 of 42 shots in a victory over the Coyotes on Friday. After a disappointing Olympic performance on home soil, Varly returned in a big way against Phoenix. Varlamov sits at 29-11-5 with a 2.47 GAA and .925 SV% on the season and will take on the Lightning's 11th ranked offence tonight.

Schneider starts for the Devils on Sunday.

Schneider gave up two goals on 19 shots in a win over the Blue Jackets on Thursday. With Martin Brodeur getting the win on Saturday, the Devils will turn to Schneider in the second game of the back-to-back set. He will take on a strong Sharks team, who are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Sabres on Thursday.

Schneider allowed one goal on 24 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Capitals in the Devils' final game before the break. Schneider has won four of his last eight starts while posting a 1.63 GAA and .930 SV%. On Thursday he will take on the Blue Jackets for the second time this season, he allowed three goals on 23 shots in 4-1 loss back in October.

The Islanders have recalled Anders Lee from Bridgeport (AHL).

Lee made his NHL debut during the 2012-13 season where he had one goal and one assist in two games. The Islanders sixth round pick in 2009 has tallied 41 points (22G / 19A) in 54 games with Bridgeport this year. He should get a chance to play top-9 minutes with John Tavares and Frans Nielsen on IR.

Varlamov will return to the Avalanche crease on Friday.

Varalmov allowed three goals on 15 shots before being yanked in Russia's loss to Finland on Wednesday. He finished the tournament 2-1-0 while allowing five goals on 56 shots (.911 SV%). While Russia had a disappointing Olympic performance, Varly will look to continue his great NHL season on Friday. He enters play at 28-11-5 with a 2.48 GAA and .924 SV% on the season.

Varlamov starts Wednesday vs. Finland.

Varlamov stopped all 27 shots that he faced in regulation and OT and both shootout attempts in a 1-0 win over Slovakia in the preliminary round. After Sergei Bobrovsky led the Russians past Norway on Tuesday, they will turn to Varlamov to get them to the semi-finals as they take on Finland later this morning.

Schneider will start again on Saturday.

Schneider stopped 19 of 20 shots in a 2-1 OT win over the Oilers tonight. He will start the second half of the back-to-back tomorrow in Washington. It will mark his fifth consecutive start as he continues to be one of fantasy's best backstops. He has clearly supplanted Marty Brodeur as number-1 in New Jersey, continue to roll him out there with confidence.

Schndeider gave up two tallies on 25 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Avalanche on Monday. That marks 13 straight games where Schneider has held his opponent to three goals or less. He comes into play tonight having won five of his last 10 starts while positing a 1.51 GAA and .943 SV%. He is as consistent as you will find in fantasy hockey right now, get him in your lineup vs. the Oilers.

Varlamov gets the call in goal for Colorado.

Varlamov allowed five goals on 43 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday. This loss was more on the rest of the Avs and less on Varlamov. They were badly outplayed all night and Varly was hung-out to dry. They will look to bounce back tonight in Philadelphia. Varlamov stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 2-1 win the first time he faced the Flyers on January 2.

Varlamov stopped 27 of 28 shots in a win over the Sabres on Saturday. He could have allowed six on 15 shots and still walked away victorious in this one. The Avalanche dominated the Sabres from puck-drop and Varly cruised to his 28th W of the season. Tonight he will face a surging Rangers squad led by Olympians Henrik Lundqvist and Rick Nash.
