Vanecek is in the starter's crease a the Devils morning skate.

Vanecek saved 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%) for his fifth win in seven starts as he beat Tampa Bay his last time between the pipes. The 27-year-old has been enjoying a great first season in New Jersey, as proven by his 29-8-3 record, 2.51 GAA and .909 SV%. He will take on the Minnesota Wild, who have won eight of their last 11 games and are 24th in the NHL in goals per game (2.9).

Sorokin will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Sorokin stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) for his fifth win in six years as he easily handled the struggling San Jose Sharks in his last start. The 27-year-old is top-five in the NHL in SV% (.925 SV%) and has an impressive 2.37 GAA despite his 25-19-6 record. He will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are in the midst of a two-game winning streak and are ninth in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

Matt Luff has been recalled under emergency conditions from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Luff has eight goals, 25 points, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 28 games with Grand Rapids (AHL) and has been recalled to Detroit under emergency conditions Tuesday. The 25-year-old has a goal, and a -1 plus/minus through seven games so far this season with the Red Wings.

Matt Luff has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL).

Luff had seven goals, 16 assists, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 25 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and was recalled to the Red Wings Monday but has been reassigned to the minor Wednesday. The 25-year-old has a goal over seven games played with the Red Wings.

Sorokin allowed three goals on 36 shots (.917 SV%) for his third-straight victory as he picked up the win over Pittsburgh in his last start. The 27-year-old is having an incredible season yet again with his 2.35 GAA and .926 SV% but still has a lacklustre 23-18-6 record. He will take on the Los Angeles Kings, who snapped a five-game winning streak with a 2-1 shootout loss to Nashville last game.

He will take on the Los Angeles Kings, who snapped a five-game winning streak with a 2-1 shootout loss to Nashville last game.

Vanecek was perfect, stopping 32 of 32 shots for his third shutout of the season as he shut out Carolina in his previous start the last time out. The 27-year-old has been very successful in his first season as a Devil, yet is still 20 wins off of Martin Brodeur's single-season Devils' win record as he has a 28-7-3 record, 2.48 GAA and .910 SV%. He will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have lost seven of their last nine games after a 3-2 loss to Winnipeg last game.

Tony DeAngelo will return Tuesday from his two-game spearing suspension.

DeAngelo was handed 15 PIMs for spearing Corey Perry in the Flyers' game last Tuesday night and has now served his two-game suspension and will return to the Flyers' lineup Tuesday. The 27-year-old defenseman has 10 goals, 24 assists, 144 SOG, 67 PIMs and a -28 plus/minus through 59 games this season

Matt Luff has been recalled from Grand Rapids (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Luff had seven goals, 16 assists, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 25 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and has been recalled to the Red Wings Monday. The 25-year-old returns to the Wings for the second time this season, where he had a goal over seven games played.
