Quick (groin) leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped 14 of 15 shots in the Kings’ season opener before leaving with a groin injury. Quick has missed the last four and a half months, but will make his return to the crease today vs. the Ducks. Quick is one of fantasy hockey’s top netminders and went 40-23-5 with a 2.22 GAA and .918 SV% in 2015-16.

Quick (groin) coming off of IR for Saturday’s game is “possible.”

Quick has been sidelined since the season opener by a groin injury, but General Manager Dean Lombardi said it’s “possible” that Quick is activated from IR and starts this afternoon’s game. Don’t expect to hear about Quick’s status until just before this afternoon’s 4p.m. ET puck-drop.

Domingue will start Friday in Dallas.

Domingue allowed five gaols on 33 shots in the Coyotes’ loss in Edmonton on February 14th. He missed three games with a lower-body injury, but was able to backup Mike Smith last night and will be in the crease tonight in Dallas. Domingue is an ugly 2-9-1 with a 4.24 GAA and .868 SV% in 14 appearances on the road this season.

Domingue will start Tuesday in Edmonton.

Domingue allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Coyotes’ loss in Minnesota in his last outing. Mike Smith started the last nine games, including last night, so Domingue will go tonight in Edmonton. He has gone 2-8-1 with a 4.16 GAA and .870 SV% in 13 road appearances this season.

Domingue stopped all four shots that he faced after replacing Mike Smith in the Coyotes’ loss in Winnipeg last night. Domingue has made two starts this month and has stopped 47 of 50 shots (.940 SV%). Despite a nice couple of games, Domingue has struggled on the road this season, going 2-7-1 with a 4.17 GAA and .873 SV%.

Zibanejad (fibula) will return to the Rangers lineup on Tuesday.

Zibanejad missed the last 26 games with a broken fibula, but will be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Zibanejad centred the second line with Pavel Buchnevich and Rick Nash on his wings and enters Tuesday with five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in 19 games.

The Penguins recalled Chad Ruhwedel from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Ruhwedel, 26, has registered one goal and one assist in five games with the Penguins this season. With Kris Letang out for weeks, Ruhwedel will draw into the lineup on Monday. He has 16 points (4G / 12A) in 28 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The Blackhawks have signed Artemi Panarin to a two-year contract extension worth $12 millions ($6.0M AAV).

The Blackhawks have a tough salary-cap situation, which is why they couldn’t give more term to Panarin. The young Russian winger has picked up 15 goals and 22 assists (37 points) in 37 games this season and has 114 points (45G / 69A) in 117 career NHL games.
