Quick is likely to start Friday vs. the Coyotes.

Quick struggled on opening night, giving up five goals on 32 shots in the Kings’ 5-1 loss to the Sharks. The Kings were dominated all evening and didn’t provide Quick with much assistance. He should be in store for a better evening tonight as he gets set to take on the Coyotes. Quick was 2-0-1 with a 1.62 GAA and .939 SV% in three starts vs. Arizona last season.

Panarin (upper-body) will play on Wednesday vs. the Rangers.

Panarin was sidelined with an upper-body injury for the majority of training camp, but the young Russian played in the Blackhawks season finale and is set to make his NHL debut tonight vs. the Rangers. He will start on a line with Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane and makes for a sneaky, low-priced DraftKings play.

Artemi Panarin
Quick will start the Kings season opener on Wednesday.

Quick had Martin Jones as his backup last season but he will go head-to-head to start the 2015-16 season. Quick played well against their California rival last year, going 3-2-0 with a 2.17 GAA and .921 SV% in five starts vs. San Jose. Quick had a strong preseason, posting a 1.29 GAA, a .939 SV% and a shutout in the finale.

The Senators signed Mika Zibanejad to a two-year contract worth $5.3M.

Zibanejad, 22, had the best season of his career in 2014-15. The former 6th overall pick tallied his first ever 20-goal season to go along with 26 assists (46 points) in 80 games for the Senators. It was another step in the right direction for Zibanejad, who will be in the Sens’ top-6 for at least the next two seasons.
