Shesterkin will start vs. Carolina on Tuesday.

The Rangers started the season with otherworldly goaltending from Shesterkin, despite a losing 2-3-1 record, posting a 1.20 GAA and a .957 SV% in those six outings. Oddly enough, Shesterking has dropped off significantly, posting an ugly 4.00 GAA and .845 SV% in four games since, but has managed a better 2-1-1 record. The Rangers enter Tuesday's contest as slight -101 home underdogs against a Carolina Hurricanes team that has lost three of its last four games (1-3-0).

Trocheck (upper-body) returned to Rangers' practice in a non-contact jersey on Monday.

Trocheck has not played since suffering an upper-body injury in the second game of the season, but appears to be making strides for returning after practicing in a non-contact jersey on Monday. The 32-year-old Trocheck scored 59 points (26G / 33A) in 82 games last season.

Shesterkin will start in Edmonton on Thursday.

The Rangers' disappointing 4-5-2 start to the season is directly correlated to their poor play on home ice. They will be on the road, where they boast an impressive 4-1-1 record, when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. Shesterkin has a solid 2.25 GAA and .916 SV% in eight games for the Rangers (2-4-2), but has struggled in his last two (0-1-1), allowing 11 goals on 54 combined shots (.796 SV%). The Rangers enter Thursday's contest as +143 road underdogs against an Oilers team that has earned points in four of its last five games (3-1-1).

Quick will start in Vancouver on Tuesday.

The Rangers are off to a disappointing 3-5-2 start this season, but can't pin the blame on either of the goaltenders, who have regularly been effective between the pipes. The veteran 39-year-old Quick has seen limited action but been solid when called upon, showcasing a 2.03 GAA and .911 SV% in two games (1-1-0). The Rangers enter Tuesday's contest as -111 road favorites against a Vancouver Canucks team with a 5-5-0 record to start the season

Rempe (upper-body) is expected to be out long term.

Rempe received a five-minute major for fighting with San Jose's Ryan Reaves last Thursday and did not return to the game, finishing with only 19 seconds of ice time. The 23-year-old Rempe has not played since and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. He is averaging 9:48 time-on-ice and has one point (1G / 0A) in nine games this season.

Iorio will be a healthy scratch vs. Los Angeles on Tuesday.

With John Klingberg (lower body) returning to the Sharks' lineup on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings, Iorio will be the odd man out, serving as a healthy scratch. The 22-year-old Iorio is averaging 16:20 time-on-ice and has zero points in six games this season.

Shesterkin will start against the Sharks on Thursday.

The Rangers have been among the NHL's worst teams offensively early in the 2025-26 season, scoring only 16 goals through eight contests (2.0 GF / GP), but have salvaged a serviceable 3-4-1 record thanks in part to elite goaltending from Shesterkin. The 29-year-old Shesterkin is boasting an incredible 1.17 GAA and .957 SV% through six games this season (2-3-1). Despite being winless at home (0-4-0), the Rangers enter Thursday's contest as -282 home favorites against a San Jose Sharks team looking for their first victory of the season (0-4-2).
