The 28-year-old Shesterkin has seen his totals fall to a 2.85 GAA and .913 SV% in 11 games (6-4-1) after allowing 10 goals on 44 shots (.773 SV%) across his previous two outings. Even so, the Rangers enter Thursday's contest as enormous -401 home favorites against the Sharks.

Tyler Motte will serve as a healthy scratch on Wednesday, allowing Veleno to make his return from a one-game absence. The 24-year-old Veleno is averaging 11:14 time-on-ice and has two points (1G / 1A) in 13 games this season.
