The Hurricanes have acquired Vincent Trocheck from the Panthers for Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark, Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen.
Carolina will hope Trocheck can regain some of the elite form he flashed in the 2017-18 season, when he racked up a career high 75 points (31G/44A). Trocheck hasn't quite looked like himself since suffering a fractured ankle in November 2018. The 26-year-old has 10 goals and 26 assists through 55 games this season.
Soucy is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks with an upper-body injury.
Soucy was hurt in Edmonton after scoring a goal in 11:27 TOI and is expected to miss at least four weeks. With Soucy not available for Sunday's game vs. the Blues, the Wild have recalled Louis Belpedio from Iowa (AHL).

It was another outstanding outing from the rookie netminder, who is on a three-game winning streak while stopping 92 of the 98 shots (.939 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he'll look to defeat a Jets team that is on a five-game point streak (4-0-1) while averaging 4.00 goals for and 2.00 goals against per game.

Quick has now given up at least three gaols in five straight games and is 0-6-1 with a 3.05 GAA and .894 SV% in his last seven games. The Rangers have won three of their last five and are strong enough to avoid Quick tonight.
Soucy (illness) will return to the Wild lineup on Sunday.
Soucy missed the last two games with an illness but will replace Brad Hunt and skate with Greg Pateryn tonight vs. the Avalanche. Soucy has 12 points (6G / 6A) and a plus-15 rating in 49 games this season.
