Trocheck missed Wednesday’s practice with a suspected lower-body injury.

Trocheck seemed to be in some discomfort at the tail-end of the Panthers’ loss to the Senators on Monday. However, he was able to finish the game, collecting two assists in 20:15 TOI. The Panthers’ second-line centre continues his great season, having posted 26 goals and 38 assist (64 points) in 67 games. His absence from Wednesday’s practice clouds his status for Thursday’s game, but check in on him during tomorrow’s morning skate to see exactly what’s up.

After Tuesday, the Lightning are off until Saturday, so Domingue heads to Syracuse where he will likely start Wednesday and maybe Friday as well. However the Lightning said they plan on carrying three goalies right now, so Domingue AHL stint will likely be short lived.

The Lightning have acquired J.T. Miller and Ryan McDonagh from the Rangers for Vladislav Namestnikov, Libor Hajek, Brett Howden, 2018 1st Round Pick and a conditional 2nd Round Pick.

Miller basically replaces Vladislav Namestnikov in the Lightning lineup, but may not see the first line ice-time that Namestnikov was playing. Miller brings a solid amount of offence to the table as well, having picked up 13 goals and 27 assists (40 points) in 63 games with the Rangers. He should play a very similar, middle-6 role with some PP time as he did in New York.
