Zibanejad did not practice this morning after leaving Thursday's contest in the first period and not returning. The Senators have not provided any further information on his injury other than he is day-to-day. It seems extremely unlikely that he will suit up on Saturday.

Miller's call-up lasted two games. He played 11:49 and 9:01 in the two games recording two shots and a minus-2 rating. Aaron Asham was recalled to replace him.

In 15 games with the Rangers this season he has one goal and one assist with a minus-4 rating. He has been recalled as the Rangers extra forward with Derek Dorsett battling a wrist issue. While in the AHL, Miller racked up five goals and an assist in six games. He was their 15th overall pick in 2011.

Miller was a healthy scratch in the last four Rangers contests. He has struggled this season with just one goal and one assist in 15 games. His return to the AHL likely means that Taylor Pyatt is nearing a return.

Zibanejad has seen his ice-time increase in all three games since being recalled. He has one goal and one assist while averaging 14:05 TOI. The move to the second line will help the former sixth overall pick stay in the NHL.

Zibanejad will be considered for the lineup tomorrow, but does not sound like he is up with the Senators to stay.

The sixth overall pick in 2011 was a surprise cut at the end of the preseason. Since being sent down Zibanejad scored two goals and added five assists in seven games with the Senators AHL affiliate. He will be in the lineup on Wednesday vs. Detroit.

Miler played 11:58, recorded no points and two penalty minutes in his only game with the Rangers this season. He has four goals in three games with Hartford.

This is surprising, Zibanejad had a great preseason and looked like a lock to make the Sens roster. He had seven goals and 13 assists (20 points) in 42 games for Ottawa last season. The move was likely made because Zibanejad is waiver exempt and the Senators did not want to expose Stephane Da Costa to waivers. Expect to see Zibanejad back with Ottawa soon.
