Anderson left the Senators last week, only to return for two games, winning both while stopping 69 of 70 shots (.986 SV%). The Senators acquired Mike Condon from Pittsburgh yesterday, so he will share the net with Chris Driedger until Anderson or Andrew Hammond can return to the crease.
Chabot, 19, was the No.18 overall pick in 2015, but only appeared in one game during the Senators’ first nine games. Chabot had a tough time cracking the lineup, so he heads back to Saint John, where he had 11 goals and 34 assists (45 points) in 47 games a season ago.
Anderson stopped all 37 shots that he faced in the Senators’ shutout win in Edmonton on Sunday. It was an inspiring performance from Anderson, in what was his first start following his wife’s cancer diagnosis. Anderson has posted back-to-back shutouts and has won five of his first six starts while posting a 2.46 GAA and .921 SV%.
Anderson stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Senators’ shutout win in Vancouver on Tuesday. He briefly left the team because his wife was diagnosed with cancer, but re-joined the team on Saturday and will be in goal tonight in Edmonton. Anderson has won four of his five starts with a 2.95 GAA and .903 SV%.
Ullmark was with the Sabres because Robin Lehner was out with an illness. Lehner will return as Anders Nilsson’s backup this afternoon, so Ullmark goes back to Rochester, where he is 3-1-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .926 SV% this season.
Anderson is coming off of a shutout on Tuesday and was likely in line to start Saturday’s game, but has returned to Ottawa to deal with a personal matter. With Anderson back in Ottawa, look for Andrew Hammond to start over the weekend and Chris Driedger has been recalled from Binghamton (AHL).
Anderson allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Senators’ 4-1 loss to the Lightning on Saturday. The loss snapped his three-game winning streak, but it has not been a banner start to the year for Anderson. The veteran netminder has allowed at least three goals in every start, posting a 3.66 GAA and .886 SV%. Tonight he faces the Canucks who come in at 4-1-1.
Del Zotto will miss his fifth consecutive game on Monday, but he appears to be on-track to return when he is eligible to be activated from LTIR, which would be in-time for their November 5th game.
Larsson averaged 16:26 TOI in his firs four games, failing to pick up a point, but was a healthy scratch on Thursday and has now swapped positions with Shea Theodore.
Anderson allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Senators’ win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Despite allowing 11 goals on 97 shots (.887 SV%) in three starts, Anderson is 3-0-0 to being the 2016-17 season. He will look to keep his winning streak going tonight vs. the Lightning. In two starts against Tampa Bay last year, Anderson was 1-1-0 with a 2.04 GAA and .934 SV%.
Anderson allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Senators shootout win over the Canadiens on Saturday. Andrew Hammond got the nod in Detroit last night, so the Senators will turn to Anderson in game No.2 of a back-to-back. The veteran netminder is 2-0-0 despite posting a subpar 3.34 GAA and .887 SV%.
Chabot was a healthy scratch in the first three games of the season but he is expected to serve as a seventh defenseman on Tuesday. Chabot was the 18th overall pick in 2015 and is coming off of 45 points (11G / 34A) in 47 games with the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL) last year.
Cousins has registered two assists and two shots on goal in the first two games of the season, but will be replaced by Roman Lyubimov in the lineup tonight.
Anderson allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Senators 5-4 overtime win vs. the Maple Leafs in the season opener. Toronto dominated the Senators throughout this game, but Anderson was equal to the task, at least when Auston Matthews wasn’t shooting. Tonight he faces a Montreal team that also won their opener. The 35-year-old was 1-1-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .941 SV% against the Canadiens last year.
Last year Anderson started 60 games for the first time since 2011-12 and won 30 games for just there second time in his career. The 35-year-old posted a 2.78 GAA and .918 SV%, which are very close to his career splits (2.73 GAA / .915 SV%). On paper the Senators don’t look any better than they did last year, so don’t expect much improvement from Anderson. He will get his season started against a Maple Leafs team he was 3-0-0 against last year.
Del Zotto is expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season, so his move to IR simply opens up a roster spot for an extra player to make the Flyers roster out of training camp. Del Zotto’s injury means that rookie Ivan Provorov will play huge minutes to start his NHL career.
A day after losing Brandon Manning to injury, Del Zotto suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday’s preseason games against the Rangers. With Del Zotto out, Ivan Provorov is all but guaranteed to not only make the Flyers’ opening night roster but play major minutes as well.
MacArthur was hit from behind by Patrick Sieloff during a scrimmage at Senators’ training camp. A concussion limited MacArthur to just four games last year and he was finally getting back to health, but this latest concussion not only puts the veteran winger’s season in jeopardy but his career.
Perron, 28, was a first round pick of the Blues back in 2007 and spent the first six years of his career in St. Louis. Since then he has played for the Oilers, Penguins and Ducks, but has returned to the Blues. He is coming off of a 12-goal, 24-assist season with the Pens and Ducks and should slide right back into the Blues’ top-9.
