Anderson will start Game 6 in Ottawa.

Anderson stopped 45 of 46 shots in the Senators 5-1 win over the Canadiens in Game 5. Anderson was excellent once again and has now stopped 120 of 123 shots (.976 SV%) that he has faced in this series. He will try to keep the Senators season alive with another win tonight in Ottawa.

Anderson stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Senators 1-0 shutout win over Montreal in Game 4. Anderson kept Ottawa alive with his third career playoff shutout. Anderson will need to be great again on Friday if the Senators are going to avoid elimination—he has a 0.93 GAA and .974 SV% so far.

Anderson was outstanding in his first start of the playoffs, but allowed a soft goal in overtime that has the Senators starring elimination in the face tonight. Anderson allowed four goals on 31 shots in the Senators 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs last night. Despite the loss, Anderson will go again tonight vs. the Panthers. In his first two starts against Florida, Anderson has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.52 GAA and .961 SV%.

There was no word prior to warmups that Perron was dealing with an illness, but he will sit this afternoon, so Patric Hornqvist will replace him on the first line. Perron has no points and is a minus-5 in his last five games. Monitor Perron’s status prior to Sunday’s contest.

Tonight he draws a stellar matchup against a Maple Leafs team who have been the worst team in the NHL for months. Anderson is 8-6-2 with a 2.72 GAA and .920 SV% in his career vs. much better Leafs teams.
