Dennis Gilbert has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

This will be Gilbert's second spell with the Flames after getting a short two-game showing earlier in the year where he picked up zero points and five PIMs. Through eight games with the Wranglers (AHL) he had yet to pick up a point but was a -2 plus/minus prior to his promotion.

Kurtis MacDermid will be out 4-6 weeks after suffering a lower-body injury.

MacDermid had to leave the Avalanche's game Saturday vs. Carolina after just two shifts and 1:13 TOI due to a lower-body injury and will now miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks it was announced Monday. The bruising defenseman had one assist and 14 PIMs through eight games so far this season prior to going down with the injury.

Linus Ullmark will start Thursday vs. the Flames.

Ullmark picked up his first shutout of the season his last time out vs. St. Louis, stopping 27 of 27 shots in a perfect performance. He leads all NHLers in wins with a 9-1-0 record and has an eye popping .935 SV% and 2.05 GAA. He takes on the Calgary Flames who have lost six straight contests.

Ullmark will start Monday vs. the Blues.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Bruins' loss in Toronto on Saturday. The loss snapped Ullmark's eight-game winning streak to start the season. He comes into Monday's game tied for eighth in GAA (2.16) and SV% (.929). He'll face a Blues team that has lost six in a row while scoring just 1.67 goals per game.

Ullmark was pulled yet got the victory in his last start, stopping 29 of 34 shots (.853 SV%) in a 6-5 victory over Pittsburgh. Ullmark has yet to lose this season, carrying a 7-0-0 record, 2.20 GAA and .932 SV% into his start Thursday. He takes on the New York Rangers who are coming off a 1-0 win over the Flyers his last time out and ranks fourth in the NHL in shots on goal per game (36.5).

James Reimer will start Thursday vs. Florida

Reimer stopped 22 of 26 shots (.846 SV%) as he took the loss his last time out to Tampa Bay. The 34-year-old veteran netminder has struggled to get wins (2-5-0) despite posting a decent .914 SV% and 2.77 GAA. He will face the Florida Panthers who lead the league in shots on goal per game (39.5) and lost their last time out 3-1 to Arizona.

Ullmark will start Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

Ullmark was unbeatable his last time out, shutting out the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-0 off a 30-save performance. He has been as close to perfect as can be this season, leading the NHL in wins with a 6-0-0 record to go along with his 4th-placed .945 SV% and 5th-placed 1.70 GAA. He takes on a struggling Pittsburgh Penguins team who has last their last four games while only scoring more than one goal once during that time.
