Pinto (upper-body) is expected to miss at least five games.

Pinto will miss the remaining two games on the Senators' current homestand and then is not expected to travel with the team on their upcoming three-game road trip. With Pinto out, Nick Paul is expected to shift to centre on the Senators' second line.

Anderson will start Tuesday vs. the Canucks.

Anderson stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Sabres' win over the Canadiens in their season opener. It was an outstanding debut for the 40-year-old netminder, who will face the Canucks on Tuesday. Vancouver has opened the season at 1-1-1 while averaging 2.67 goals per game.

Gaudette will make his season debut Friday in New Jersey.

Gaudette was a healthy scratch in the Blackhawks season opener but will replace Ryan Carpenter in the lineup on Friday. Gaudette impressed after being traded to Chicago late last season, scoring one goal with three assists in just seven games. However, a bottom-6 role likely won't lead to a whole lot of production in 2021-22.

The Senators have signed Brady Tkachuk to a seven-year deal worth $57.5 million ($8.214M AAV).

Tkachuk and the Senators have agreed to terms on a seven-year deal on the day of their first game of the season. Tkachuk is a fantasy force, combining for 80 points (38G / 42A), 479 shots and 551 hits in 127 games over the last two seasons--that extrapolates to 25 goals, 27 assists, 309 shots and 355 hits over 82 games.
