The Golden Knights have signed Nick Holden to a two-year contract extension worth $3.4 million ($1.7M AAV).

Holden was set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season but is now locked up through the 2022 season. Holden has scored five goals with six assists (11 points) in 54 games this season while ranking third among Vegas defensemen in PK TOI (1:56/gm).

The Golden Knights have acquired Nick Cousins from the Canadiens for a 2021 fourth-round draft pick.

Cousins was an effective bottom-6 forward for the Canadiens this season, posting 22 points (9G / 13A) in 58 games while playing just 13:28 ATOI. In Vegas, he'll help fill a void left by Alex Tuch's injury and should be a third line winger moving forward.

Anderson starts Saturday in Winnipeg.

Anderson allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Senators loss in Toronto last Saturday. Anderson has played well in his last two starts, stopping 62 of the 66 shots (.939 SV%) that he has faced. Anderson is an ugly 4-7-1 with a 3.43 GAA and .893 SV% on the road this season, so he's a risky option on Saturday afternoon.

Anderson allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Senators win in Buffalo on Tuesday. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the veteran netminder, who draws a horrendous matchup tonight in Toronto. In his first start vs. the Maple Leafs (season opener) he allowed five goals one 42 shots in a 5-3 loss.

Ullmark will miss 3-to-4 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Ullmark suffered a non-contact lower-body injury in Tuesday's loss to the Senators. It looked like it could be a long-term injury but Ullmark catches a break with a 3-to-4 week timetable. Jonas Johansson has been called up from Rochester (AHL) to take his spot on the roster.

Anderson will start Tuesday in Buffalo.

Anderson allowed four goals on 43 shots in the Senators' loss to the Golden Knights on January 16th. Anderson has been terrible in his last five outings, giving up at least four goals in each game. Over that stretch, he has a 4.75 GAA and .866 SV%. He's been great vs. the Sabres this year though, going 1-1-0 while allowing just four goals on 75 shots (.947 SV%).

Ullmark will start Tuesday vs. the Senators.

Ullmark stopped 35 of 37 shots in the Sabres' 2-1 loss to the Predators on January 18th. Ullmark was playing unbelievable hockey heading into the Sabres' bye week, going 3-1-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .947 SV% in his last four starts. Tonight he faces a Senators team that he's played well against, going 1-1-0 while giving up just four goals on 52 shots (.923 SV%) in two meetings this season.
