Anderson will start Saturday in Toronto.

Anderson surrendered four goals on 43 shots in the Senators overtime loss to the Blackhawks on Thursday. Despite the loss, Anderson looked sharp to star the season. However, the veteran is a risky option tonight in Toronto. He was 2-1-0 with an ugly 4.11 GAA and .893 SV% vs. the Maple Leafs a season ago.

Hamonic is week-to-week with a facial fracture.

Hamonic suffered the fracture in a fight with Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbranson on Wednesday. Hamonic finished the game but missed yesterday's practice and will now miss at least a couple of weeks. Dalton Prout is expected to replace him on Saturday, but Rasmus Andersson is a potential candidate to draw-in in the future.

Forsberg suffered an undisclosed injury in the morning skate and will not be available on Thursday.

Forsberg had to be helped off of the ice during the Blackhawks morning skate and will not be available to backup Cam Ward tonight. Forsberg will eventually be the Blackhawks’ No.3 netminder when Corey Crawford is healthy. Colin Delia will meet the team and serve as their No.2 in Ottawa.

Anderson will start Thursday against the Blackhawks.

Anderson had a superb 2017 season, but crashed back to earth in 2018. The Senators were riddled with dysfunction and it led to Anderson posting a 3.32 GAA, .898 SV% and 23 wins in 58 games. Things got even worse this summer when Ottawa completely committed to a rebuild, making Anderson a low-end fantasy goalie option.

Tkachuk (undisclosed) is doubtful for Thursday’s season opener.

There is no word on when Tkachuk suffered the injury, but it looks like his NHL debut will be put on hold fo now. This summer’s fourth overall pick had 31 points (8G / 23A) in 40 games at Boston University and is expected to skate on the second line with Mark Stone and Zack Smith when he is healthy.

The Blues have signed David Perron to a four-year, $16M ($4.0M AAV) contract.

Perron was originally drafted by the Blues and played for them from 2008-to-2013 and against in 2017. The 30-year-old returns to St. Louis after one year in Vegas, where he posted career-highs in assists (50) and points (66). Perron will find himself back in the Blues’ top-6, where he will likely play alongside Ryan O’Reilly.

The Senators select Brady Tkachuk with the No.4 overall pick.

The brother of Flames’ winger Matthew Tkachuk, Brady had eight goals and 23 assists (31 points) at Boston University this season. Tkachuk elevated his stock during a great World Juniors tournament, where he had nine points (3G / 6A) in seven games. Like his dad Keith, Brady is a big-bodied forward with a great size/skill combo. He will have a chance to make the NHL this fall.

Perron is expected to draw back into the Vegas lineup for Game 5.

Perron was a healthy scratch for Game 4, but it looks like he will replace Ryan Carpenter on the Golden Knights’ third line. Perron is still searching for his first playoff goal since April 23rd, 2016—a span of 27 games—but he has eight assists in 14 games this postseason.

Brassard (lower-body) will be a game-time decision for Game 1.

Brassard missed the final five games of the regular season but practiced each of the last two days and it looks like he will play in Game 1 vs. the Flyers. Brassard has been a notoriously good playoff performer, picking up 55 points (22G / 33A) in 78 career postseason games with the Rangers and Senators.
