Vladar will undergo season-ending hip surgery.

Vladar's season has abruptly ended as the Czech netminder will undergo hip surgery. The 26-year-old backstop has struggled tremendously this season, showcasing an unimpressive 3.62 GAA and .882 SV% in 20 games (8-9-2). Dustin Wolf will likely stay with the Flames for the remainder of the season, backing up Jacob Markstrom.

Woll will start in Washington on Wednesday.

Woll has only played twice in March, allowing four goals in each contest, most recently on March 7th, and will return to the crease on Wednesday. The 25-year-old Woll has struggled to regain his form since returning from a long-term injury, posting a .881 SV% in three games (1-2-0). That said, the Maple Leafs, losers of two straight (0-1-1), are -133 road favourites against a Washington Capitals club that has scored two or fewer goals in four of their last five (3-2-0).

Foote (undisclosed) hurt himself during his return and did not travel on the Devils' recent road-trip.

Foote last appeared in an NHL contest nearly a year ago on March 24th, 2023 and has suffered a setback after being activated from injured reserve on Monday. The 23-year-old left-winger originally suffered his injury in pre-season and spent a week on a conditioning loan with Utica (AHL) before being activated.

Couturier is expected to be scratched on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Couturier, the Flyers captain, joins a group of notable veteran healthy scratches on Tuesday including Cam Atkinson and Marc Staal. After a decent start to the season with 30 points (10G / 20A) in his first 41 games, Couturier has struggled immensely with only six points (1G / 5A) in his last 23 contests.

Wayne Simmonds is retiring with the Philadelphia Flyers after 15 NHL seasons.

Vladar will start Tuesday's game against the Avalanche.

Vladar will get the surprise nod on Tuesday after Jacob Markstrom was scratched from his previously scheduled start due to a lower-body injury. Vladar will be hoping to bounce back from a rough performance on Sunday, when he surrendered seven goals in a blowout loss to the Hurricanes. Vladar owns an underwhelming .885 SV% on the season to go along with an 8-8-2 record. Things won't get any easier from him on Tuesday as he's set to take on Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche.

Acciari (upper-body) will play against the Capitals on Thursday.

Acciari returned to the lineup two weeks ago after a multi-week absence due to an injury, and after playing six games, was on the sidelines in the Penguins' last contest. The Penguins' bottom-six forward has one assist, six shots, and nine hits in his last six games.

Woll will start in Boston on Thursday.

Woll will get the nod for the tail-end of Toronto's back-to-back on Thursday after Ilya Samsonov got the nod in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime victory over the Sabres. It's the second time in as many games that Woll will face the Bruins. He surrendered four goals on 27 shots in a 4-1 loss to Boston on Monday. It was just his second start since returning from the ankle injury he suffered in early December. Woll and the Maple Leafs are +125 underdogs heading into Boston on Thursday.

Konecny (upper body) will return on Thursday vs. Florida.

Konecny has missed the Flyers' previous six games but will return to the lineup on Thursday in Florida. It is a much-welcomed return as Konecny leads Philadelphia in both goals (27) and points (54) while leading all forwards in average TOI (19:54). He should resume his role in the Flyers' top-six and continue to be their main scoring option on powerplays.

Konecny (upper body) is a game-time decision on Thursday vs. Florida.

Konecny has not played since February 21st, missing six games with an upper-body injury, but appears to be nearing a return after being a full participant at practice on Wednesday. Before his injury, Konecy was producing at a blistering pace, scoring 12 points (5G / 7A) during a seven-game point streak. The Flyers return to the ice on Thursday against the Florida Panthers.

Philadelphia has signed Nick Seeler to a four-year, $10.8 million ($2,700,000) contract extension.

Seeler's name was circulating through trade rumours recently, but the Flyers opted to keep the 30-year-old defenseman after trading Sean Walker to the Colorado Avalanche. Seeler exited Monday's 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues in the third period after playing 16:57 and is currently on injured reserve on a week-to-week basis.
