Grundstrom was one of the Maple Leafs’ top prospects and has been enjoying a quality campaign with the Marlies, scoring 13 goals with 16 assists (29 points) in 42 games. Grundstrom, a former second-round pick, plays a physical two-way game but doesn’t project to be much of a high-end scorer at the NHL-level.

Wilson had just two assists in 14 games with the Penguins earlier this season but has found success at the AHL-level, collecting eight goals and 10 assists in 18 games. Wilson has been called-up because Zach Aston-Reese went on IR on Wednesday.

Seeler missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will return to the lineup in Toronto on Thursday afternoon. Seeler doesn’t bring a lot of offence to the table, having picked up just three points (1G / 2A) in 36 games this year.

Wilson picked up just two assists in 14 games with Pittsburgh during his call-up. His return to the AHL suggests that Dominik Simon could be back on Thursday. Wilson has 12 points (6G / 6A) in 12 AHL contests.

Couturier has missed the last two games but is expected to play Wednesday in Calgary. Couturier has played 91% of his 5v5 ice-time with Claude Giroux this season but will start the night as the second-line centre with Michael Raffl and Jakub Voracek on his wings. Couturier has 10 goals and 10 assists (20 points) in 26 games this season.

Couturier is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury so he will not play in Buffalo this afternoon. Either Jordan Weal or Phil Varone, who was recalled on Friday, will replace Couturier in the lineup.

Richard made his NHL debut on Saturday but his return to the AHL suggests that Nick Bonino (illness) will be back in the lineup on Monday.

Richard was selected in the fourth round in 2015 and has picked up eight goals and four assists (12 points) in 21 games with Milwaukee this season. He has been recalled because Filip Forsberg (undisclosed) was moved to IR on Saturday evening.

Wilson appeared in four games with the Penguins earlier this season and could draw into the lineup on Saturday with Patric Hornqvist getting hurt on Friday. The 27-year-old has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 12 AHL contests.

Juulsen was hit in the face by the puck on two separate occasions in just 3:12 TOI. With Juulsen out at least a week, look for Karl Alzner or Xavier Ouellet to draw back into the Canadiens’ lineup on Wednesday.

Juulsen has been out of the lineup for the last two games, but will play in Edmonton. Juulsen will replace Karl Alzner and re-enters the lineup with three points (1G / 2A) in 13 games this season.

Vladar has gone 2-3-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .909 SV% in seven starts with Providence this season. Vladar has been called-up to serve as Jaroslav Halak’s backup while Tuukka Rask is out on a personal leave of absence.

Juulsen recorded two assists against the Islanders on Monday but failed to register a point in 16:01 TOI on Tuesday. The young defenseman has played well so far this season, but has come out of the lineup to allow Karl Alzner to play a couple of times and will do so again tonight.


Juulsen will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury, despite skating on Monday and expecting to play tonight. Karl Alzner will remain in the Canadiens lineup with Juulsen sidelined.

Juulsen missed Saturday’s game in Boston, but practiced on Monday and expects to play tomorrow vs. Dallas. Juulsen has registered just one assist and a plus-9 rating in nine games this season.

Juulsen is considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury that will force him to miss Saturday’s game in Boston. With Juulsen out, Karl Alzner will draw back into the lineup.


Konecny left Friday’s practice after being hit by an Ivan Provorov shot, but said that he expects to play this afternoon vs. the Golden Knights. Konecny has just one assist and a minus-4 rating in four games this season.
