Skinner will start vs. San Jose on Wednesday.

The Oilers are coming off a one-side 5-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings and hope to end the season on a positive note, turning to Skinner between the pipes on Wednesday against the San Jose Sharks. The 26-year-old Skinner was solid in his most recent outing, saving 17 of 18 shots (.944 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. He has a 2.87 GAA and .894 SV% in 50 games this season (25-18-4). The Oilers enter Wednesday's contest as sizeable -219 road favorites against the last-place Sharks.

The Penguins announced on Wednesday that Letang had successful closure of a patent foramen ovale (PFO; small hole in the heart). The expected recovery time is four to six weeks, so Letang will be ready for training camp in the fall.

Jones will draw into the Kings lineup on Tuesday.

The Kings are already locked into the second spot in the Pacific division, so Jones will slot in along with Akil Thomas, Trevor Lewis, and Kyle Burroughs for Tuesday's game in Seattle. Mikey Anderson, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, and Quinton Byfield will all get the night off.

Skinner has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since March 26th but will return to the lineup on Friday against the San Jose Sharks, serving as the backup to Calvin Pickard. The 26-year-old Skinner has a 2.91 GAA and .894 SV% in 49 games this season (24-18-4).

Lizotte (lower-body) will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Lizotte did not play in Pittsburgh's previous game and will miss the remainder of the season. The 27-year-old Lizotte is averaging 12:43 time-on-ice and has 20 points (11G / 9A) in 59 games this season. Matthew Nieto will draw into the lineup as Lizotte's replacement.

Bemstrom has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Bemstrom has appeared in 13 NHL games this season for the Penguins, posting just one assist. During his time with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he is tied for the team-lead in goals (21) and third in points (46). Bemstrom could draw into the Penguins lineup on Friday with Rutger McGroarty getting injured on Tuesday.
