Caleb Jones returns to the Blackhawks lineup to replace Filip Roos on Tuesday. Jones will return after missing his second game of the early season in Chicago's 5-4 win over Seattle Sunday. Skinner should draw his first start of the season Tuesday as the Oilers host the Sabres on home ice. The Edmonton native was phenomenal in relief of Jack Campbell Saturday stopping all 31 of 31 shots while limiting the damage in the Oilers' 4-3 loss to Calgary. He enjoyed a strong first rookie season in 2021-22, collecting a .913 SV% while winning six of 12 starts.
Bemstrom cleared waivers on Monday and was sent to the AHL to start the season. Bemstrom struggled to find his footing in the 2021-22 season, tallying just 11 points (6G / 5A) in 41 NHL games.
