The Penguins did not hold a morning skate but head coach Mike Sullivan announced that Malkin will miss tonight's game due to an illness. The Penguins will be in tough without Malkin or Sidney Crosby. Joseph Blandisi was recalled this morning and is expected to play in Malkin's place.

Tonight he faces a Coyotes team that has played well on the road, going 8-1-2 while scoring 3.09 goals per game in their last 11 road games.
Johnsson was hurt while blocking a shot against the Avalanche and will miss at least 10 games/24 days with a leg injury. Moving Johnsson to LTIR opens up a roster spot and gives the Maple Leafs some cap flexibility that they didn't have before. They used that to call-up Nic Petan, Pontus Aberg and Martin Marincin from the Marlies (AHL).

Letang has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury that he suffered on November 4th, but was back at practice on Sunday and was activated from IR this afternoon. Letang will likely replace Zach Trotman on the blueline and skate with Brian Dumoulin and take over as the quarterback on PP1.
