San Jose has signed Libor Hajek to a one-year, two-way contract.

Hajek was drafted 37th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, but has spent the past few seasons playing professionally in Czechia after being unable to make a lasting impacting in North America. The 28-year-old Czech forward scored 13 points (6G / 7A) last season for Pardubice HC in Czechia.

The Sharks have signed Ivar Stenberg to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Less than a week after being drafted 2nd overall by the San Jose Sharks, Stenberg has been rewarded with a three-year, entry-level contract. The 18-year-old Swedish forward is coming off a 33 point season (11G / 22A) in 43 games with Frolunda HC (SweHL).

The Sharks signed Kyle Keyser to a one-year, two-way contract.

Keyser is an undrafted goalie that have bounced between the AHL and ECHL in recent seasons. The 27-year-old posted a solid 2.09 GAA and .922 SV% last season in 15 games (9-4-1) with the Colorado Eagles. He will provide some organization depth in 2026-27 for the San Jose Sharks.

The Sharks have signed Brett Leason to a one-year, two-way contract.

An NHL veteran of 226 games, Leason spent most of the 2025-26 season in the AHL, where he scored 44 points (14G / 30A) in 56 games with the Hershey Bears. The 27-year-old forward will likely provided similar organization depth for a young and exciting Sharks team.

The Sharks have signed Alex Barre-Boulet to a two-year, two-way contract.

Barre-Boulet spent almost all of 2025-26 in the AHL, where he was second in the league with 70 points (26G / 44A) in 70 games. Expect him to start 2026-27 in the AHL, but could be one of the first forwards called-up to the Sharks when injuries hit.

San Jose has acquired Darnell Nurse from Edmonton for Zack Sharp and Shakir Mukhamadullin.

At the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, Nurse requested a trade from the Edmonton Oilers, which came to fruition in a deal that sent him to the San Jose Sharks. The 31-year-old Nurse has four years remaining in his contract with a $9.25 million AAV. He had 24 points (7G / 17A) and a -12 plus/minus in 82 games with Edmonton last season.

San Jose has signed Andre Gasseau to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Gasseau, a seventh-round pick of the Boston Bruins in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, is poised to make his professional debut after signing a two-year, entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks. The 22-year-old forward scored 23 points (6G / 17A) in 23 games with Boston College (H-East).
