The Sharks are on the outside of the playoff picture, but are still within reach of a Wild Card spot and will turn to Nedeljkovic on Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 30-year-old Nedeljkovic has had an inconsistent season, but he was solid in his most recent outing, saving 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has a 2.93 GAA and .883 SV% since the beginning of March (5-4-2). The Sharks enter Monday's contest as -169 home favourites against a Blackhawks team that defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-2 on Saturday to snap a five-game losing streak.

With their playoff hopes on the line, the Sharks will continue their push, with their offensive leader, Celebrini, in the lineup on Monday. The second-year forward has been outstanding for the Sharks this season, scoring a remarkable 106 points (41G / 65A) through 75 games at the age of 19. He has nearly double the production of the second-highest point producer on the team, which is Will Smith with 54 points.

Dellandrea has battled some injuries this season and has been sidelined since early January due to a lower-body injury, but he has been an effective bottom-six forward when healthy. The 25-year-old Dellandrea is averaging 14:24 time-on-ice, recording 11 points (2G / 9A) and 117 hits in 42 games this season. He signed a two-year contract worth $1.625 million AAV ($3.25M total) three weeks ago.

Askarov will start vs. Anaheim on Wednesday.

Askarov has battled through injuries recently and completed his first full game in nearly three weeks on Tuesday, saving 22 of 26 shots (.846 SV%) in a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Blues. Askarov was far from stellar in his return to action, but came up big when called upon, helping the Sharks stay within reach of a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Sharks will need Askarov to make timely saves again on Wednesday, entering the action as slight -103 home underdogs against an Anaheim Ducks team on a two-game losing streak (0-1-1).

With Askarov sidelined again, Brossoit will be recalled from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL). The 33-year-old Brossoit played one game for the Sharks during his previous call-up, his first NHL action since the 2023-24 season, but struggled in the outing, allowing six goals on 23 shots (.739 SV%).

He is travelling with the team, and expected to practice on Saturday morning, but it is unclear if he will be able to suit up in the evening against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 33-year-old Swedish defenseman has 24 points (10G / 14A) in 54 games this season.
