Askarov will start in Boston on Monday.

Alexandar Georgiev was between the pipes for the last three Sharks games (1-2-0), but the club will revert to Askarov on Monday afternoon against the Boston Bruins. Askarov saved 19 of 22 shots (.864 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild. The 22-year-old Askarov has a 2.39 GAA and .917n SV% in eight NHL games this season (3-3-2). Edmonton has signed John Klingberg to a one-year, $1 million (pro-rated) contract.

Klingberg hasn't played since undergoing hip surgery over a year ago after a brief 14-game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he scored five points (0G / 5A). The 32-year-old Klingberg isn't far removed from being one of the league's elite powerplay quarterbacks. He scored a career-high 67 points (8G / 59A) in 82 games with the Dallas Stars in the 2017-18 season. However, his production has dipped significantly in recent years, tallying only 85 points (16G / 69A) and a -60 plus/minus in his 155 most recent games. Given Evan Bouchard's dominance on Edmonton's top powerplay unit, it's unlikely that Klingberg will find himself in that position. Yet, he could still see an uptick in production considering the star power of his surrounding cast.

Nedeljkovic will start in Buffalo on Friday.

With Tristan Jarry clearing waivers and reporting to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL), Nedeljkovic will be between the pipes for Pittsburgh on Friday against the Buffalo Sabres. Nedeljkovic last played on January 11th, allowing five goals on 17 shots (.706 SV%) in a 5-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The 29-year-old netminder has a 3.40 GAA and .886 SV% in 19 appearances this season (7-7-4). The Penguins enter Friday's contest as +114 road underdogs against a Sabres squad that has won three of their last four (3-1-0).

Desharnais is expected to draw back into Vancouver's lineup on Thursday vs. Los Angeles.

Askarov will start vs. Minnesota on Saturday.

On the tail end of a back-to-back, the Sharks will turn to Askarov between the pipes on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild. The Sharks' only two wins in their last 11 games have come with Askarov in their crease (2-8-1). The 22-year-old Askarov has been impressive in limited NHL action this season, posting a solid 2.30 GAA and .923 SV% in seven games (3-2-2).
