Kiefer Sherwood (upper body) is expected to rejoin the Predators' lineup Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Sherwood was a late scratch for Friday's game with the team announcing his absence less than 15 minutes before the puck drop and did not play on Saturday either. He is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday. Sherwood has 11 points (5G / 6A), 51 shots, and 83 hits in 29 games this season, playing predominantly on a line with Tommy Novak and Luke Evangelista,

Alex Nedeljkovic will start Monday vs. Minnesota.

Nedeljkovic will start on Monday after allowing three goals in relief of Tristan Jarry on 21 shots (.857 SV%) in Saturday's 7-0 blowout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Discounting Saturday's relief appearance, Nedeljkovic has been tremendous when called upon lately, posting an excellent .946 SV% in his last four outings (2-1-1). The Penguins are -120 home favourites on Monday as they will be desperate to rebound against a Minnesota Wild team that has won three straight games but is averaging only 1.8 goals per game over their last five contests (3-2-0).

Nedeljkovic will get his first start in four games as the Penguins head to Montreal to take on the Canadiens Wednesday. The 27-year-old has had a resurgent and impressive season as Tristan Jarry's backup, with his 2-2-1 record, 2.18 GAA and .937 SV%. Laurent Brossoit will start Tuesday in San Jose.

Brossoit was excellent in his last start just over a week ago, saving 42 of 43 shots (.977 SV%) in a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes and will likely return to the crease on Tuesday. Brossoit has had an up-and-down season, posting a 2.65 GAA and .903 SV% through six games (3-2-1), but will have a favourable matchup as the Jets are -200 road favourites against a San Jose Sharks team that scored five or more goals in four straight games (2-1-1).

Barclay Goodrow (upper body) missed practice Thursday and is considered day-to-day.

Goodrow played only 2:58 time-on-ice on Tuesday, did not participate in practice Thursday, and is considered day-to-day ahead of the Rangers' next game on Saturday against the Washington Capitals. Goodrow has one point in his last seven games (0G / 1A) playing primarily alongside Jimmy Vesey and Tyler Pitlick.

John Klinberg (hip surgery) will undergo season ending hip surgery at the end of the month.

Klingberg was signed to a one-year, $4.125 million contract in the offseason but will have his 2023-24 season cut short due to the hip surgery he will undergo at the end of the month. It is disappointing news for the 31-year-old veteran, whose short Maple Leafs tenure may be over after just 14 games played, five assists, 14 SOG, eight PIMs and a -7 plus/minus.
