This afternoon the Oilers announced that their star winger will miss at least the first three weeks of the regular season with a shoulder injury. Schwartz has missed the last seven games with a right foot injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Sharks. To make room for Schwartz, the Blues have assigned Colin Fraser to Chicago (AHL). Schwartz has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points) in 31 games this season.
Schwartz was upgraded to week-to-week on Thursday and is expected to play tomorrow. The Blues won’t have a morning skate because of the back-to-back, but Schwartz will likely skate in an optional and a decision will be made after that.

Schwartz will travel with the team on their west coast road-trip and could play this weekend if all goes well. In 31 games this season, he has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points).
