Beniers (lower-body) will play Tuesday in Winnipeg.

Beniers has 17 goals, 19 assists, 97 SOG, and a +6 plus/minus through 51 games this season and was not 100% to play Tuesday but has announced he will play while dealing with what was a lower-body injury. The 20-year-old is very much in the hunt for the Calder Trophy this season.

The Avalanche have recalled Ben Meyers from Colorado (AHL).

Meyers has three goals, five assists, and 11 PIMs through 14 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) and has been recalled back to the Avalanche Tuesday. Through 28 games so far this season with the Avalanche in his previous stints with the big club, he has one goal, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus.

Schultz last played on January 17th due to an undisclosed injury and has been activated off the injured reserve Thursday and will be in the Kranken's lineup. The 32-year-old will make a welcome return as he had five goals, 19 assists, 59 SOG, 28 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 42 games prior to his injury.

Philipp Grubauer will start Thursday vs. New Jersey.

Grubauer stopped 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%) for his first win in three starts as he beat Columbus in his previous start. The 31-year-old has struggled mightily this season although being on one of the league's best defensive teams, with his 5-8-2 record, 3.03 GAA and .897 SV%. He takes on the New Jersey Devils, who have won four of their last five games after a 5-4 overtime win over Vancouver in their last start.

Matt Murray has been placed on the injured reserve (ankle) retroactive to January 17th.

Murray tweaked his ankle on January 17th and will miss some time due to the injury, leading to him being placed on the injured reserve Thursday. The 28-year-old was enjoying a strong comeback season with the Leafs prior to his injury, with his 11-5-2 record, 2.73 GAA and .911 SV%.

The Kraken have recalled John Hayden from Coachella Valley (AHL).

Hayden has 13 goals, 12 assists, 51 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 36 games with Coachella Valley (AHL) and has been recalled on Thursday for the second time this season. In Hayden's previous stint with Seattle this season, he had one goal, four SOG and a +1 plus/minus through three games and 8:02 TOI.

Beniers left the Krakens' previous game vs. Vancouver after 9:52 TOI due to an upper-body injury and will miss their next two games this weekend (Calgary and Columbus). The 20-year-old leads the Norris Trophy race with his 17 goals, 19 assists, 92 SOG, and a +8 plus/minus through 47 games prior to the injury.

He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who won their last game 2-1 vs. the New York Islanders and are fifth in the NHL in shots on goal (33.7) per game.
