Grubauer stopped 41 of 44 shots (.932 SV%) but still managed to grab his fifth loss in six starts as he was downed by Calgary his last time out. The Krakens' starter has struggled in his limited action this season, with his 3-6-1 record, 3.28 GAA and .889 SV%. He will face the Edmonton Oilers, who won their last game 2-1 over Calgary and are fourth in the NHL in goals per game (3.56).

He will take on Calgary, who is coming off a 2-1 loss Tuesday to Edmonton and is fifth in the NHL in shots on goal per game (34.7).

The 28-year-old has had a resurgence in his first season in Toronto, with his 8-2-2 record, 2.34 GAA and .925 SV%. He will face the Arizona Coyotes, who have won their last two games but are 26th in the NHL in goals per game (2.79).

The Kraken have claimed Eeli Tolvanen off of waivers from the Predators.

Tolvanen has two goals and two assists (four points) in 13 games with the Predators this season. Since being selected No.30 overall in 2017, Tolvanen has picked up 51 points (25G / 26A) in 135 career NHL games. To make room for Tolvanen, the Kraken waived Karson Kuhlman.

There was a small shot Schwartz would dress Friday vs. Washington but after missing the Kraken's morning skate it was announced he is day-to-day and would miss the game. The 30-year-old has been enjoying a bounce-back season with eight goals, 15 points, eight PIMS and 54 SOG through 25 games this season.
