Montour was originally a second-round pick (No.55 overall) in 2014 and has become a trusted defenseman in Anaheim. Montour has five goals and 20 assists (25 points) while averaging 22:40 TOI/gm through 62 games this season. Montour projects to take Matt Hunwick’s spot in the Sabres lineup and will likely skate in their top-4.
Hayden was a healthy scratch on Saturday but the Blackhawks fourth line shuffle will continue on Monday. Hayden will replace Chris Kunitz and enters play with four points (3G / 1A), a minus-12 rating and 28 shots in 42 games this season.

Grubauer allowed five goals on 28 shots in Colorado’s loss to Minnesota on January 23rd. Since mid-December, Grubauer has gone 1-4-0 with a 4.12 GAA and .862 SV% in his last seven starts. Grubauer was great in Washington but has not had the same success in Colorado but has a nice matchup vs. a Blue Jackets team that has lost five in a row.
Grubauer gave up six goals on 20 shots in Winnipeg back on January 8th. Semyon Varlamov had an extended run in Colorado’s crease but Grubauer will get a shot at the Wild on Wednesday. The 27-year-old has gone 4-2-1 with a 2.94 GAA and .894 SV% at the Pepsi Center this season.
McCann was scratched in Calgary on Friday but will be back in the lineup on Sunday. McCann has seven goals and 10 assists (17 points) in 41 games this season.
Dunn was originally believed to be a healthy scratch on Tuesday but the Blues confirmed that he is dealing with a lower-body injury. With Dunn out, Alex Pietrangelo and Connor Parayko will man the points on the Blues’ power-play units.
Mahura has split his campaign between the AHL and NHL. Mahura has nine points (1G / 8A) in 14 games with San Diego and five points (1G / 4A) in 17 games with Anaheim.

Eberle was on the ice for the Islanders morning skate but will miss his fourth straight game with an undisclosed injury. Josh Ho-Sang is expected to remain on the Islanders’ top line with Eberle out.

Tonight he faces a Sharks team that is tied for fifth in the NHL in scoring (3.41 GF/pg). Grubauer comes in at 3-2-1 with a 2.79 GAA and .900 SV% at the Pepsi Center.
Eberle’s move to IR is retroactive to December 23rd, which means he’s eligible to come off of IR as soon as tomorrow. The move opened up a roster spot for the Islanders to recall Michael Dal Colle from Bridgeport (AHL).
