Grubauer will make his second straight start.

Grubauer allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Capitals loss in Carolina on Saturday. Grubauer will make his second straight start because the Capitals play again tomorrow vs. the Penguins, a much more difficult opponent, which Braden Holtby will handle. Grubauer has won two of his three starts while posting a 2.01 GAA and .925 SV%.

Grubauer allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Capitals loss in Carolina on Saturday. It looks like Grubauer will make his second straight start because the Capitals play again tomorrow vs. the Penguins, a much more difficult opponent, which Braden Holtby will handle. Grubauer has won two of his three starts while posting a 2.01 GAA and .925 SV%.

The Oilers have acquired Adam Larsson from the Devils for Taylor Hall.

Larsson, 23, was the fourth overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, but has yet to develop into the premiere two-way defenseman that he was expected to be. However, at just 23-years-old he still has a lot of years to become the top-pairing defenseman that the Oilers are hoping they just acquired. He had 18 points (3G / 15A) in 82 games with the Devils last season.

Grubauer has gone 4-3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .930 SV% in six starts and three relief appearances on home ice this season—he will be in tough against a Blues team that has won nine of their last 11 games.

It was predetermined that Grubauer would start two games this week, so tonight he takes on the Bruins in Boston. The 24-year-old has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.23 GAA and .922 SV% in five starts and two relief appearances on the road this season.

With two back-to-backs this week, this will be Grubauer’s first of two starts and it will come against the Maple Leafs.
