Grubauer allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Capitals loss in Philadelphia on Sunday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Grubauer, but he remains a great starting option tonight in Detroit. He is 5-6-3 with a 2.62 GAA and .917 SV% on the road this season but the Red Wings are awful.

Larsson has missed the last two games to be at his father’s funeral and will sit for a third straight game despite being back on the ice for Monday’s morning skate. Larsson will draw back into the lineup on Thursday.
Eberle left Thursday’s practice with some general soreness and his status for Friday’s game is in question. The Islanders had no update on Eberle’s status this morning, so consider him a game-time decision.
Larsson was back in the lineup for the last seven games but will return to Sweden for his father’s funeral and will be replaced by Ethan Bear tonight vs. the Predators. Larsson could be back in the lineup next Monday vs. the Coyotes.
