Vasilevskiy will start Saturday vs. the Wild.

Vasilevskiy has gone 6-1-0 with a 2.12 GAA and .925 SV% in seven December starts and is a ridiculous 13-1-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .918 SV% on home ice this season. He is a must-start regardless of his matchup.

The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Vasilevskiy, who will make his 28th start tonight vs. the Senators. The 23-year-old is an impressive 12-1-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .921 SV% at Amalie Arena this season.

Vasilevskiy stopped all 32 shots that he faced in the Lightning’s shutout win in St. Louis on Tuesday. Vasilevskiy has now won four in a row while stopping 103 of 110 shots (.936 SV%). Vasilevskiy is on-pace for 68 starts and 54 wins—which would blow away the NHL record of 48 (Martin Brodeur—2007 & Braden Holtby—2016). Vasilevskiy is a must-start tonight in Arizona.

Perry was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated after leaving Monday’s game with a lower-body injury.

The Ducks were unable to provide an update on Perry’s status postgame but they can’t seem to get out of their own way. The Ducks just got Ryan Getzlaf back yesterday and they played just 3:49 TOI together before Perry exited the game. Expect an update on Perry’s status prior to Thursday’s game in St. Louis.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Islanders on Tuesday. Peter Budaj gave him a breather on Thursday, so Vasilevskiy will obviously start tonight vs. the Jets. The young netminder leads the NHL with 18 wins and has allowed just seven goals on 128 shots (.945 SV%) in his last four starts.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Sharks on Saturday. Vasilevsky has not lost very often on home ice, going 10-1-1 with a 2.38 GAA and .923 SV% in 12 starts at Amalie Arena. In his first start against the Islanders, Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 31 shots in a 5-3 loss.

After a rough start, Vasilevskiy was able to give the Lightning a chance at winning, but the comeback fell short. In 11 starts at Amalie Arena, Vasilevskiy has gone 9-1-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .923 SV%. Tonight he faces a Sharks team that ranks 28th in the NHL in scoring (2.58 GF/PG).
