Elliott will start Sunday vs. the Penguins.

Elliott stopped 17 of 19 shots in a win over the Wild on March 9th, as well as all three shots after replacing Ryan Miller on Wednesday in Chicago. This afternoon, he will take on the Penguins who have scored 16 goals in their last four games (4.0 G/PG). It is not a great matchup, but if you are desperate on Sunday, he is worth taking a look at.

Elliott gets the nod for the Blues tonight.

Ryan Miller has started his career with the Blues at 4-0 which has held Elliott to the bench, until now. Tonight he will get the call in the second game of a back-to-back against the Wild. Elliott is 15-5-2 with a 2.08 GAA and .917 SV% this season, but the Blues have just two back-to-backs left this season, so it doesn't look like he will see much crease-time down the stretch.

Girgensons (lower-body) will not play Friday.

Girgensons left Thursday's contest after playing just 6:53 and did not return. It was a good win for the Sabres, but they lost Girgensons and winger Chris Stewart in the process. They likely will not recall anyone from Rochester (AHL) and Zenon Konopka will silde into the lineup for Girgensons and Cory Conacher for Stewart.

Elliott starts on Saturday.

Elliott gave up three goals on 31 shots in a win over the Predators last Saturday. That win snapped a three-game losing streak for Elliott, who now sits 14-4-2 with a 2.10 GAA and .917 SV%. He will face the red-hot Jets, but with his 8-1-0 record at home, you should't worry too much.

Elliott was pulled after surrendering three goals on nine shots in a 7-1 loss to the Devils on January 21. He has lost each of his last three starts while giving up eight goals on just 44 shots (.818 SV%). He will face the Predators for the first time this season on Saturday and comes into play with a 13-4-2 record, 2.06 GAA and .917 SV% on the year.

Elliott gets the call vs. the Ducks on Saturday.

How good is the Blues goaltending right now? Elliott has been excellent winning seven of his last eight games while posting a 1.58 GAA and .937 SV% and Jaroslav Halak has been equally as good. Elliott replaced Halak after just eight minutes the first time the Blues played Anaheim. He came in and stopped 13 of 14 shots in the 5-2 loss.

Elliott starts for the Blues.

Elliott allowed two goals on 24 shots on Saturday vs. Columbus to earn his sixth consecutive victory. With Jake Allen sent back to the AHL, Jaroslav Halak is healthy again, but the Blues will ride the hot hand tonight. Elliott stopped all 23 shots that he faced in a 6-0 win over the Oilers in their first meeting.

Elliott stopped all 30 shots that he faced vs. Los Angeles on Thursday for his third shutout of the season. With Jaroslav Halak under the weather the Blues have run with Elliott and he has won five games in a row (one relief appearance) and currently holds the 4th best GAA in the NHL (1.84) and t-8th best SV% (.928). He faces the Blue Jackets at home tonight where he is 6-0-0.
