Hedman (lower-body) will not play Tuesday in Toronto.

Hedman was on the ice for the Lightning's morning skate but will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury that he suffered in Boston on Saturday. However, his availability for the morning skate suggests he's close to playing, so monitor his status prior to Thursday's game vs. the Flyers.

Vasilevskiy is expected to start Tuesday in Toronto.

Vasilevskiy gave up three goals on 38 shots in the Lightning's win in Boston on Saturday. He was given Sunday night off in Detroit, so look for Vasilevskiy to be back in the crease tonight in Toronto. He has gone 1-1-0 while giving up a combined seven goals on 51 shots (.863 SV%) in his first two starts against the Maple Leafs this season.

Hedman (undisclosed) is questionable to play Sunday in Detroit.

Hedman left Saturday's game in Boston with an undisclosed injury and is questionable to play tonight in Detroit. Head coach Jon Cooper did not have an update on Hedman's status postgame but said he'll be re-evaluated prior to Sunday's game. If Ryan McDonagh isn't ready to return, look for Luke Schenn to replace Hedman.

Vasilevskiy will start Saturday in Boston.

Vasilevskiy stopped all 32 shots that he faced in the Lightning's shutout win over the Canadiens on Thursday. Tonight he'll make his fourth straight start, having gone 2-1-0 with a 1.68 GAA and .943 SV% in the previous three--the loss coming against the Bruins, who he'll face again tonight. He is 2-1-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .931 SV% in his three starts against Boston this season.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Lightning's loss to the Bruins on Tuesday. Vasilevskiy has gone 1-4-0 with a 4.27 GAA and .863 SV% in his last five starts and will make his 50th start of the season tonight vs. Montreal. He has gone 3-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .948 SV% in his first three games vs. the Canadiens this season.

Johansson will start Thursday vs. the Penguins.

Johansson allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Sabres loss in Arizona on Saturday. In his first four careers starts, Johansson has gone 1-2-1 with a 2.68 GAA and .899 SV%. Things don't get any easier tonight with the Penguins in town. They haven't been great on the road recently but are starting to get healthy and looked really dangerous Tuesday.

Overall, Vasilevskiy was 7-3-0 with a 2.91 GAA and .902 SV% in February. He comes into Tuesday's game at 2-0-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .924 SV% in his first two starts vs. the Bruins this season.

Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Lightning’s loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Curtis McElhinney started Thursday, so Vasilevskiy gets the Flames tonight. Vasilevskiy has lost three straight games while posting an ugly 5.46 GAA and .835 SV%. Tonight he faces a Flames team that has averaged 4.60 goals per game in their last 10 games, going 6-3-1 in the process.

The Blackhawks have recalled Brandon Hagel from Rockford (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Hagel was a sixth-round pick of the Sabres in 2016 but signed with the Blackhawks in 2018. The 21-year-old winger has scored 19 goals with 11 assists (30 points) in 55 AHL games this season and could be set to make his NHL debut on Saturday.

Vasilevskiy will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Vasilevskiy gave up seven goals on 41 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Arizona on Saturday. Vasilevskiy has started struggling out of the blue, giving up 12 goals on the last 74 shots (.838 SV%) that he’s faced. In his first start vs. the Maple Leafs, Vasilevskiy stopped 25 of 28 shots in a 7-3 win in early-October.

Cernak (lower-body) is day-to-day; may play Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Cernak suffered a lower-body injury in Arizona on Saturday but head coach Jon Cooper said he could play as soon as Tuesday. Monitor his status during the morning skate but the Lightning can't afford to have him miss a pivotal game while they're already without Ryan McDonagh and Jan Rutta.

Johansson will start Sunday afternoon vs. the Jets.

Johansson allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Sabres loss to the Ducks on February 9th. Carter Hutton started the last five games, including yesterday, so Johansson will start today vs. the Jets. Johansson has gone 0-1-1 with a 2.78 GAA and .889 SV% in his first three career NHL games (two starts) and will face a Winnipeg team that is 6-3-0 with 3.67 goals per game in their last nine games.
