The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Bobrovsky, who is now 4-2-2 with a 3.54 GAA, .887 SV% and one shutout on home-ice this season. Tonight he faces a Flyers team that has lost three straight and recently recalled Morgan Frost to try and help boost their offence.

Bobrovsky was pulled after he allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Panthers come-from-behind win in Boston on Tuesday. Despite Samuel Montembeault playing very well in relief, the Panthers will stick with their $70 million dollar man on Thursday night. The Jets are struggling mightily to score goals right now so maybe this is an opportunity to get Bob back on track.

MacEwen comes up because Brandon Sutter was hurt early in Tuesday's win over the Predators. MacEwen has just one assist in four career NHL games and will likely make his season debut on Thursday. The 23-year-old has eight points (3G / 5A) in 13 games with Utica this season.

Bobrovsky stopped 34 of 36 shots in the Panthers' loss to the Islanders on Saturday. He played very well but it wasn't quite good enough because Thomas Greiss was terrific on the other end. Bobrovsky's numbers still aren't great but he hasn't lost in regulation in his last six starts, going 4-0-2 with a 3.01 GAA and .884 SV%.

The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Bobrovsky, who comes in at 3-1-2 with a 3.48 GAA and .869 SV% on the road this season. On the flip side, the Islanders are 7-2-1 while scoring 3.40 goals per game on home ice this season.

Bobrovsky stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Panthers' shutout win over the Red Wings last Saturday. The win moved Bobrovsky to 3-1-1 with a 3.20 GAA, .898 SV% and one shutout on home ice this season. Tonight he faces a Capitals team that comes in at 7-1-1 while scoring 4.11 goals per game in their first nine road games of 2019-20.

Tavares missed seven games with a fractured finger but will play Tuesday vs. the Kings. Unsurprisingly, the Maple Leafs struggled without their captain, going 3-2-2 while averaging 3.00 goals per game versus 4-3-1 while averaging 3.88 goals per game with him in the lineup. He'll return with seven points (3G / 4A) in eight games and will play on a line with Mitch Marner and Trevor Moore.

Muzzin missed Saturday's game in Philadelphia due to a personal matter but will play vs. his former team on Tuesday. Muzzin has amassed nine points (3G / 6A) in 14 games so far this season.

The Maple Leafs were hopeful that Tavares would be able to return to the lineup on Saturday but head coach Mike Babcock ruled him out this morning. Look for the captain to return vs. the Kings on Tuesday.

Muzzin was banged up against Capitals but he won't play Saturday due to a personal reason, not injury. This is a positive development and suggests that Muzzin could be back as soon as Tuesday vs. the Kings.

Tavares has missed the last six games with a broken finger but was a full participant in the Maple Leafs' practice on Friday and he is "hopeful" to play on Saturday. Toronto went 2-2-2 without Tavares and he comes back with seven points (3G / 4A) in eight games, whenever he's healthy.

He still doesn't look like a $10.0M goalie but things are starting to look up. He is one of the best options on Saturday's slate with a matchup vs. a low-scoring Red Wings team on a back-to-back.

Philadelphia shuffled their roster ahead of Friday's tilt in New Jersey. Myers has four assists in six AHL games this season and recorded one goal and one assist (two points) in 21 games with Philadelphia in 2019-20.

Tavares was originally expected to miss two weeks with a broken finger and he will hit that two-week mark on Thursday. Returning to practice on Wednesday is a positive sign that he is on-track in his recovery and means he could be an option on Saturday.

Muzzin is believed to be dealing with a charley horse, so you have to think he'll be available for Saturday's game in Philadelphia. Muzzin has quietly picked up nine points (3G / 6A) in 14 games this season.
