Jarnkrok will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.

Jarnkrok has yet to record a point while piling up 11 shots and two PIMs in eight games this season. He will take a seat tonight with Gabriel Bourque and Matt Cullen entering the lineup. He has not been all that bad for the Predaotrs this season, but they want more offence from the 23-year-old.

Rielly is "fine" after leaving practice with a lower-body injury.

Rielly limped off of the ice at practice on Wednesday, but said following the skate that he is "fine" and left "only as a precaution". The young blueliner is coming off of his best game of the season---he had two assists, plus-1 rating and six shots in 22:27 vs. the Sabres on Tuesday.

Muzzin (upper-body) will not play on Sunday.

Muzzin hasn’t played since suffering an injury in the preseason game against the Avalanche in Colorado Springs on October 2. Though he has been practicing with the team, he hasn’t been cleared to return to game action. Muzzin is expected to get an X-ray on October 23rd, which is three weeks from the day he was injured, a decision on his status should be made after that.

The Kings have signed Jake Muzzin to a five-year deal worth $20 million.

The Kings will pay Muzzin an average of $4 million per year, which is a very reasonable cap-hit for your number-2 defenseman. Muzzin has not played yet this season but is coming off of a 24-point (5G / 19A) year and is just 25-years-old. He has an absolute cannon from the point and that cannon will be on the Kings blueline for five more years.

The Canucks are hopeful Tanev (undisclosed) will play on Saturday.

Tanev suffered an injury in Wednesday's season opener that forced him to miss practice on Thursday, but he was back on the ice Friday and could be in the lineup when they take on the Oilers. Tanev will be evaluated tomorrow and then a decision will be made.

Chris Tanev
Tanev (undisclosed) missed practice Thursday and will be reevaluated on later today.

Tanev suffered an undisclosed injury in Wednesday's season opening 4-2 win over the Flames. Head coach Willie Desjardins did not shed any light onto Tanev's situation but hopes he is back for their next game which comes on Saturday. Tanev finished Wednesday's game with two assists, two shots and a minus-1 rating in 19:45 TOI. Note that Tanev had just 11 assists in 64 games last season.

Muzzin (undisclosed) is questionable for tonight's season opener vs. San Jose.

There was no report of an injury to Muzzin until this morning. If he plays he will line up in his usual spot with Drew Doughty, but if he is unable to play, Doughty will play with Brayden McNabb. With only a few games tonight you won't get burned by having him in your lineup in daily leagues.

McCabe (undisclosed) was placed on IR on Tuesday and will be out "a week or so".

Head coach Ted Noland announced today that they will be without McCabe for a week or so after he was placed on injured reserve yesterday. The 20-year-old D-man had one assist in seven games with the Sabres last season and will compete with the likes of Rasmus Ristolainen and Mark Pysyk for playing time.
