Jones appeared in 15 games last season, going 4-5-2 with a 2.25 GAA and .906 SV%. He was never going to emerge from Jonathan Quick’s shadow and will have an equally difficult time in Boston trying to supplant Tuukka Rask. He has a 1.99 GAA and .923 SV% in his brief, 34-game NHL career.
Klingberg, 22, had 11 goals and 29 assists (40 points) in 65 games in his rookie season with the Stars. This contract has him locked in at $4.25 million per year through the 2012-22 season.
Giordano skated on his own on Monday and he is not close to returning, but if the Flames make a run in the playoffs, he did not rule out a possible return in a later round.
Brodie could have had a chance to play in all 82 games, but will not get that chance as he will be held out for rest. He finishes with 11 goals and 30 assists (41 points) in 81 games this season.
Jarnkrok is battling an illness and is questionable for the season finale on Saturday. An illness might force him out of just one game, but he should be ready for the playoffs.
Jones allowed one goal on 10 shots after replacing Jonathan Quick in the Kings loss to the Wild on March 28th. He will be making his first start since February 27th and just his second start in the Kings last 36 games. Jones is 4-4-2 with a 2.18 GAA and .909 SV% this season.
Klingberg will miss his third straight game with an upper-body injury. He is considered day-to-day.

Klingberg left last Saturday’s game early, but was able to play on Tuesday. In Tuesday’s game he suffered an upper-body injury and it doesn’t look like he will play tonight. Expect Jason Demers to be back in; replacing Klingberg.
Klingberg was listed as questionable after leaving Saturday’s game early. There was no word throughout the day, nor in warmups, but he will play tonight in Philadelphia. He has 36 points (10G / 26A) in 52 games this season.
Klingberg left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury, but the Stars are hopeful that he will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Flyers. Klingberg has an assist in four straight games and seven helpers in his last 10 games—however he is a minus-7 over that span as well.
The Flames kept very quiet on Giordano’s injury leading up to the deadline, likely to protect their potential deals. Giordano even took warmups on Friday, but obviously didn’t play. The Flames and Gio explored all options to see if they could put surgery off, but ultimately the Flames medical staff elected the best course of action for Giordano was for him to undergo surgery. He is expected to rehab for the next 4-5 months.
Giordano has been sent back to Calgary and placed on IR. He will have to miss next Tuesday’s game in Philadelphia but he is eligible to play on Thursday if he is healthy enough.
Giordano was never expected to play, but he was on the ice for warmups so there was some speculation that he just might play. While he will not play, it is a great sign that he should not miss a ton of time.
Jones will make his first start since January 14th. That night he was pulled after he allowed three goals on 13 shots in a loss to the Devils. He has gone 4-3-2 with a 2.20 GAA and .908 SV% this season. Tonight he will start in Anaheim against a very dangerous Ducks team.
The Flames announced that Giordano was out for tonight, but being on the ice for warmups, gives him a chance to be in the lineup. Stay tuned.
