He started in exactly half of Toronto's games last season, posting a 2.73 GAA and .909 SV%, and was likely poised to see similar totals in 2025-26. Maple Leafs' GM Brad Treliving mentioned that Woll will not be ready until after November 1st and could be loaned to the Marlies (AHL) for a conditioning stint.

There is no timeline on when Woll might return to game action, but with Toronto's up-and-down 3-3-1 start to the season, they will happily welcome the services of Woll, hoping it solidifies their goaltending position.

Cowan drew into Toronto's lineup for his NHL debut in their third game of the season, playing four straight, but returned to being a healthy scratch in their most recent contest. He will re-enter the lineup on Friday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 20-year-old forward has one point (0G / 1A) in four games.
